Cindy was welcomed into the MMI family about a month ago and we couldn’t be more grateful for her bright personality and many, many talents. Have you met Cindy yet? If not, take a look at this interview to learn a little bit more about her.
Tell us a little about yourself.
I grew up on the East Coast...born in Manhattan. My parents are from Brooklyn, so needless to say, I have many memories of growing up in a tight-knit neighborhood surrounded by familiar faces, and lots of aunts, uncles, and cousins. What I loved most about this experience looking back was the melting pot of cultures in one place that eventually became part of my own. Later, I moved to Massachusetts, then Florida where I completed my undergrad at Florida State University. After graduation, I moved back to NYC. A few years later, I would meet my wonderful husband, Mike, who was just completing medical school at the time...the rest was history. Eventually, he completed his residency, and I went on to receive my MBA from Norwich University in Project Management. It has truly been a journey!

Tell us a little about your family.
My husband and I have been married almost 20 years. We have three amazing sons, Michael, Gabriel, and Nicholas. They truly are our pride and joy, and miracles from the Lord. As a family, we love to travel, cook together, and watch movies. There is never a dull moment at the Castillo home, and I can always count on my sons to make us laugh with all of their shenanigans.

What's something about MMI that you love?
Gosh...there are many things that I love. I guess to narrow things down, I would say the common denominator for all of us at MMI is "passion." We share a love for people and serving His kingdom. The majority of people behind the operations of MMI are volunteers. It is an honor and blessing to work alongside those who willingly give their time to touch people in need on a global level.

What's something about MMI that you're looking forward to?
I look forward to making more connections globally as we supply countries in need. I hope to continue to expand our reach internationally as we continue to grow MMI's visibility domestically, especially right here in the Central Valley.
What's something you want the MMI community to know about you?
I'm here to serve and be part of MMI's forward momentum. If the Lord leases me the years, I hope to continue the services we provide through generations, eventually passing that same legacy of passion to the next, so that we always have those in place that share the same love for the ministry.
What's something on your bucket list?
I would love to go to Italy and Greece. Also, I would love to write a book...maybe a collaborative cookbook with my sons...Aaaand...I always dreamed of having my own home decorating service. My bucket list is long... How much time do you have?
