Dear Savio Family,

The St. Dominic Savio Walk of Fame

Although St. Dominic Savio Catholic High School is still in its "teen years" of existence, we already have some history to recognize and celebrate. Decades from now, people will want to know the story of Savio and the traditions established in the early years. This spring, 2024, we will be welcoming a charter group of people into "The Savio Walk of Fame." They will be the first inductees with many to follow for years to come.

What is "The Savio Walk of Fame?"

It consists of two distinct groups:  The Savio Athletic Hall of Fame and The Savio Heritage Award Honorees.  The Savio Athletic Hall of Fame is for Savio alumni who are accomplished student-athletes. The Savio Heritage Award Honorees is for those who have provided significant impact and support for the school.

Formal descriptions and criteria for nomination for each group will be finalized and shared in November. We have so many people who have been instrumental in the start and continuation of this Catholic school, and so many talented student-athletes who have competed as an Eagle. The time is now to establish a place of honor for them and for others who have walked these halls and been a part of the Savio story.

Take care and God bless.

Tim

Principal's Message

Dear Savio Family,

I can’t believe we are already 6 weeks into the school year. I don’t know about you but the days are flying by for me. The year has been very successful to this point. Students are learning, praying and growing, teams are winning and clubs are meeting. The energy, excitement and enthusiasm continues to touch all aspects of the school.

Next week we will end the month of September with the celebration of International Week, a beautiful week to celebrate our diverse cultures. We are gearing up for October, which is going to be a very busy month with lots of activities, including Homecoming, Senior Retreat, and Accreditation.

As always, if you or your child are in need of any support academically, spiritually or emotionally, please do not hesitate to reach out, as we have faculty, staff and other resources to support you and your family.

Thank you and God Bless,

Evan

Rosary Group

The Savio Rosary Group prays the rosary weekdays at 8:30 am in the chapel and on Zoom. Every decade is offered on behalf of and for the intentions of a specific event, teacher, staff member, or student. By the end of the school year, we have prayed for everyone at Savio by name. The Zoom link (Meeting ID: 558 531 0293, Passcode: prayrosary) is used each day for anyone who cannot make it to the chapel. Please consider yourself invited, we would love to see you there!  We started praying for Freshmen on September 11th.  Click here for the list of Freshman.

Soiree Chairs and Volunteers Needed

We just booked our venue and are starting to put together our leadership team and coordinators for this year’s Soiree!

Getting involved with Soiree is a great way to meet other Savio parents, give back to the school – plus the Advancement Department is SUPER fun to work with!

We will be hosting a happy hour for all interested volunteers in mid/late October.

At that time, we will discuss the event needs and ways to put your God given talents to good use for Savio!

Please email advancement@saviochs.org if you have questions or think this might be of interest to you.
