Mitole Colt Tops Preferred Session During First Day of OBS Winter Mixed Sale

A colt by Mitole topped the first day of the Ocala Breeders' Sales Winter Mixed Sale that featured a Preferred Session of yearlings plus supplements and a Horses of Racing Age Session with supplements. The two-day sale continues Wednesday with an Open Session that begins at 12 noon.


The Preferred Session sold 74 yearlings for gross sales of $1,665,900 for an average of $22,512 and a median price of $16,000. That compares to last year’s Preferred Session of the Winter Mixed Sale when 99 head generated gross sales of $2,696,700 with an average of $27,239 and a median of $20,000.
