Letter from the Principal
These next two weeks before Thanksgiving break are going to fly by. Our campus will be busy this week with school picture retakes, Red Ribbon Week, Book Fair, Pastries with Parents, and volleyball and football playoffs. We'll cap off our week on Saturday with 18 of our secondary students singing in the All-Region Choir. We're so proud of our singing Knights!

Please scroll through to the end of the newsletter for more details on all of the things happening here at Trivium. It's a great time to be a Knight!

Proud to be a Knight,
Sheryl Bradley

Smell that new book excitement: it's Scholastic Book Fair time! From November 6-9, 2023, come experience the limitless possibilities. Students may shop Monday-Thursday during school. Families may shop Tuesday after school starting at 4:30 (don't forget to stay for the playoff volleyball game in the gym) and again before school on Wednesday and Thursday.

If you haven't set up an ewallet for your child yet, here is the link:

Ewallets are a great, cashless way for students to shop. Purchases can also be made using cash or credit cards. Please remember that we must add tax to each purchase, and we round up for All For Books. All For Books is a Scholastic program that allows us to get new book club books and books for the classrooms!

We hope to see you at our Scholastic Book Fair!
School Picture Retakes are
Tuesday, November 7
Students must be in a collared uniform shirt for these school pictures which will be published in the yearbook. We also offer an opportunity in the spring for casual photos of students in street clothes.

Seniors
Dear Senior Parent/Guardian,

Jostens was here to visit with your senior about their 2024 graduation cap & gown and other senior year items. We thought you would appreciate having a copy of what was handed out during their assembly.

In order to receive the best pricing of the year, please be sure to order by the date printed on the information sheet. When you order by this date, you will be a part of the Group Order Discount and save a lot of stress rather than waiting until spring. Click (here) to be taken directly to our school’s homepage at Jostens. Please know that the cap and gown unit is the only required item to purchase. It is at the very bottom of the items listed for purchase. If you have any questions or are unable to find something, please contact Jostens' office at 214-383-9502 before placing your order. You may also contact Jeri Wolfe at Trivium at 469-854-9007 X7001.
Juniors
Dear Junior Parent/Guardian,

Jostens was here to visit with your student about their 2025 Class Ring! We thought you would appreciate having a copy of what was handed out during their assembly. Please be aware that the best pricing will be in effect until the deadline noted on the flyer. There is a virtual ring sizer provided (see flyer) but Jostens has also left physical sizers in our front reception office. Click (here) to be taken directly to our school’s homepage at Jostens.

Attendance Reminders
Trivium is a public charter school and therefore must follow state mandates regarding attendance.

*Please note- Texas law requires a district to retain students who are not in school at least 90% of the time a class meets. This includes excused and unexcused absences. Also, per state law, after a student acquires 10 unexcused absences, districts are required to file truancy.

When a student is absent, parents must send an email to attendance@triviumacademytx.com on the night before or morning of a student’s absence.

When students are absent, we must have a note from the parent or doctor concerning his/her absence(s) when he/she returns to school. If a student does not have a note when he/she returns to school, an unexcused absence will be recorded for those days. A two-day grace period will be extended to the student to bring in a note. No more than 3 parent notes per semester will be accepted.

Notes must include the following to be accepted:
  •  Student’s first and last name
  •  Grade level
  •  Days and dates missed
  •  Reason for absence(s)
  •  Parent’s signature
  •  Contact numbers
Lunch Time
We are excited to have Wholesome Food Services available this year as a lunch option for our students. Please see below for information on a new restaurant that has been added. Please remember that since we have this available option for food service, we are no longer accepting outside food deliveries at the front office.

If you are sending a lunch with your child, please make sure to include any necessary utensils. We only have what the restaurants send us for the purchased lunches and don't always have extras to spare.
