2024 Solar Eclipse
On Monday, April 8, a solar eclipse will cross North America, passing over Mexico, the United States, and Canada. While Georgia is not in the path of totality, we should still be able to view a partial eclipse, weather permitting. The eclipse is projected to begin at 2 pm and last until 4 pm, with the maximum sun coverage at 3:05 pm.
If you are interested in viewing the eclipse, a limited number of direct viewing eclipse glasses will be available for pick up at each campus. Regular sunglasses are not safe for viewing the eclipse, and you should not try to look directly at the sun, regardless of its brightness, without proper protection.
