Wednesday Chapel Services:

Services are held every Wednesday at 8:20 am at Zion Lutheran Church. Visitors are welcome to attend! Our Chapel Services are streamed on the MLS Facebook page.

Chapel offerings for the 3nd quarter will go to Lutheran Family Service.

Guardians Kick-off!

The first MLS Guardians meeting was held this week. There was a great turnout with 20 Dads present and eager to learn about and participate in the program. This program is aimed to help create a male presence at Martin Luther School and add an extra set of eyes that is focused on what is going on outside of the classroom. The school staff asks that the Guardians walk around the school and church periodically, walk outside around the building and parking lot, is present during recess time, and attend class outings for gym or field trips. There may be days when a few extra Guardians are needed.

If you know of any MLS Dad that would be interested in participating in the MLS Guardians program, please have them visit our website or talk to Beth at the school office. There is no requirement on the amount of time that a Guardian will need to be in school. Any amount of time a Guardian can give is a blessing, either full or half day or various hours. We are currently looking for Guardians to sign up for daily watch. Please see the “Daily Sign Up Form” button below to see the available times. If you are not able to sign up for a full or half day, please email Beth at beckers@lutherschools.org to let her know when you will be in the school.

Students registering for grades K-8 by February 16 will receive their own MLS baseball cap! Hence, "hats off" to early registration!

Sections: K-3, 4-5, 6-8, 9-12

We will be using a Swiss Pairing format which provides the opportunity for all players to play every round whether they win, lose or draw.

MLS STEM CLUB

We are offering a STEM Club activity at MLS!

This will be for students in

grades 3-7.

Tuesdays, February 13, 20, 27th and March 5

from 3:30-4:30.

Michael Kindel will introduce the art of 3-D printing to the students. We have the possibility of offering the club for additional weeks, but would like to see the level of interest before moving forward. We will have a sign up sheet outside of the school office for those interested in participating.

WE LOVE READING!!

Mrs. Severson is available on Mondays after school for students who might be interested in assistance with reading. She will offer opportunities to help enrich reading skills, as well as provide a place for students who might just prefer a quiet place to read! If you are interested in having your child participate, please contact her at severson@lutherschools.org.
