Mission Opportunity

Hurricane Buckets


The Presbytery of St. Augustine would like to invite you to participate in a mission project! At our presbytery meeting, we will be collecting hurricane cleanup kits.


Below you will find a list of all that is needed to put together a hurricane cleanup kit. There is also a $3.00 processing fee for each bucket, so please make sure to include that.


Cleanup Kit List

  • 1 Five-gallon bucket with a resealable lid (these can be found at Home Depot, Lowes and other retailers)
  • 4 Scouring pads
  • 7 Sponges (assorted sizes)
  • 1 Scrub brush
  • 1 Package of cleaning towels (18 reusable; ex: Easy Wipes)
  • 1 50-ounce bottle (or two 25-ounce bottles) of liquid laundry detergent
  • 1 Liquid concentrated household cleaner (ex: Lysol, 12 ounces)
  • 1 Bottle of liquid disinfectant dish soap (ex: Dawn, 24 to 28 ounces)
  • 1 Package of clothespins (48 to 50)
  • 1 Clothesline (two 50 feet or one 100 feet)
  • 5 Dust masks
  • 2 Pair of heavy-duty trash bags (30 to 45 gallons; please remove from carton)
  • 1 Bottle of insect repellant (pump, drops or lotion, 6 to 9-ounces; non-aerosol)


Please purchase all liquids in plastic bottles and send only new, unopened materials. Place all items in the five-gallon bucket, packed securely, and close the bucket.

Enjoy Pre-Meeting Fellowship: Come as early as 8:30 a.m. to enjoy light breakfast snacks and fellowship with other meeting participants. This is also a time for last-minute registration.
