An electric cooperative is probably one of the few businesses that encourage you to use less of their product. And we offer the tools and the programs to achieve this goal. Check out these ways to save energy and money.

Want to pay reduced rates or get a bill credit?

Energy Wise is what we call our voluntary programs that manage the flow of power during high energy demand days. Participants allow us to cycle or control their electricity for specified periods in exchange for bill credits or a lower rate. You enjoy savings without sacrificing comfort. These load management programs help reduce the amount of wholesale power the co-op needs to purchase. When this happens, we pass the cost savings on to our members. We offer programs for heating, cooling, electric water heating, and electric vehicles. Learn more

Rebates of $25 to $500 are available to members who purchase qualified electric energy-saving appliances, HVAC heating and cooling units, Wi-Fi thermostats, electric vehicles, pool pumps and more. See what qualifies

From simple energy-saving tips and paperless billing to member-owned generation and Time of Use rates for electric vehicle owners, your cooperative offers many options for you to create your own personalized member experience.

Is going green your thing?

MVEC's energy portfolio has renewable energy options. If you wish to go above and beyond what the co-op already purchases on your behalf, you can purchase Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) to further offset your usage and carbon footprint.
