Your PNKS Staff has another "on the ROAD" day coming up! This time we'll be in Beloit on Wednesday, April 17th in Beloit from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.! See the cool flyer at the button below!
It is our hope to be able to get our staff out and in a location "near" you and we hope you will share this information with your congregation and encourage folks to come see us!
We'll bring our "work" with us but we hope to be so busy visiting with you all that we won't get any of it done!! 😂
We'll bring resources from the resource center for you to look through and if you bring your own tablet or laptop, Amanda is happy to help you get set-up to use the digital library and we're all happy to show you around on the Presbytery's website so you know where to find things. Bob will be available in case someone wants to visit about "clerk-y" kinds of things or something in the Book of Order. And, Gail and I'll be around to visit with you about whatever else you want to talk about!
If you live in the Beloit area or just want to go for a BEAUTIFUL drive in that part of our presbytery -- bring your coffee or your lunch or your supper (or run by Subway or Sonic or DQ in Beloit and pick something up) and COME SEE US!!!
If that day or location doesn't work for you -- please watch for other opportunities this year!
Thank you for sharing this with you congregation members -- we are looking forward to seeing you!

Helping High School Students to
Explore a Call to Ministry
|
|
Open Call, June 1-8
Current high school students exploring a call to Christian ministry are invited to join us for Open Call, a residential experience featuring hands-on learning and discovery sessions on everything from story-telling and faith to current culture and strategies to preach across digital platforms.
Instructors connect Biblical text with current culture, use digital media to create multi-sensory presentations and teach theological languages for faith and Biblical teachings that will help students share the depth and insights of their faith.
The program is held on the campus of Hastings College. There is no cost to attend, as registration, housing, meals and recreational activities are covered for the first 12 students who apply before May 15.

July 20-26, 2024
Trip Coordinated by YouthWorks and hosted by PNKS, Milwaukee, WI
Join your (completed) 6th grade through graduated high school friends for a Mission Trip to Milwaukee, WI. We will spend the week exploring, serving, learning and growing.
On Saturday, July 20th, we will ride the train to Milwaukee, WI, and spend our first night at Immanuel Presbyterian Church. On Sunday, we will explore Milwaukee, and then start our mission work on Sunday evening, 7/21/2024.
Total cost per youth is $725 and includes train transportation, most meals and lodging.
Additional cost to be paid by students: 2 lunch meals on the train (one could be a sack lunch packed for Saturday's travel), and lunch at the Milwaukee Public Market on Sunday, and any other spending money. We recommend $100 to cover these costs.

The webinar is on April 16, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. EST. All who register will be emailed a link of the recorded webinar afterwards.
This past January, the Outlook published a magazine dedicated to small church vitality. Within days, our extra copies of the magazine sold out and articles from the issue, such as “The future of the PC(USA) is pastor-less, and that’s ok” by Catherine Neelly Burton, went viral.
Join us for a webinar to continue the conversation our “Small is beautiful” issue started.
On April 16, Outlook Editor/Publisher Teri McDowell Ott will convene a panel of voices from our January issue including Catherine Neelly Burton, Warren Lesane, Shavon Starling-Louis, and Philip Blackburn.
The panel will discuss some of the troubles facing small churches, the strengths of these worshipping communities, and practical examples of small churches thinking in creative ways to continue their ministry. This conversation will be followed by a Q&A with audience memers.
