Because Lutherans gather. On Easter we proclaim, witness, praise, and affirm together the liberating reality of Christ's death and resurrection. In word and feast we celebrate God's unending love. We also rejoice in song, laugh over breakfast treats, hunt for more eggs than imaginable, take pictures by azaleas, and depart to share this good, good news with all the world. We are better together. Alleluia!

“Easter”

The air is like a butterfly

    With frail blue wings.

The happy earth looks at the sky

    And sings.

FLOWERING OF THE CROSS

Fresh spring flowers will transform a barren cross – a reminder of Jesus’ death – into a vibrant, colorful, and fragrant symbol of resurrection. On Easter morning before both services we invite you to add flowers to it. Wild flowers, purchased flowers, or fresh flowers from your garden are welcome. This is the perfect activity for the young and the young at heart. Let’s make our cross bloom and proclaim in a visible way that Christ is risen!

BEING THE CHURCH

Our 2nd annual community wide EGGAPALOOZA is Saturday, March 30 and we are back at TLU Bulldog Stadium! Gates open at 8:30am. Invite your friends, your neighbors, your family, or someone who just looks like they would have fun at an egg hunt and help us have the biggest and best egg hunt in Seguin to date! WANDERING HEART JOURNEY

This Lent we focused on the life and faith of Peter. In him we saw a person who is both steadfast and unsteady, a dear friend and a betrayer, a follower and a wanderer. In Peter, we often see ourselves. By following Peter's journey, we watched the story of Jesus unfold through the eyes of a very normal human trying to figure it all out - just like us.

An illustration of our faith journey with Peter has been expanding in this display on the 2nd floor hallway. Stop by to see where we have been. Follow the ups and downs and twists and turns. Take a moment to reflect on what you see. Remind yourself that God loves imperfect people. May we rest in streams of mercy, ever ceasing.

It's time for a new Pictorial Directory!

Our dates of photography are May 15 - 18

Just for participating you will receive a complimentary 8x10 portrait and a church directory. You will view your images right away and have the chance to purchase family portraits for your own memories and to give as gifts.

You can make an appointment in the narthex on Sunday mornings or, even quicker and easier, by clicking the link below. Our Church Code is tx455 and the Password is photos. We look forward to seeing you there!

BECAUSE LUTHERANS ENJOY A GOOD CAPER (pt. 4)

Just when the Easter bunny was about to close the tip line for the weekend, a call came in from our sponsor Luling Chevrolet GMC! The Easter bunny made a mad dash to the dealership! A suspicious looking squirrel was in to make a trade for a pecan colored GMC truck. Thanks to the incredible team at Luling GMC, we were able to retrieve 6 more boxes of eggs ZigZag left behind in his old truck. That sneaky squirrel! Where will we find him next?!? Follow along on our Eggapalooza Facebook page here. We are better together.

BECAUSE LUTHERANS LOVE A CELEBRATION (pt.2). Easter fun-tivities was the theme of the March Senior Social Club gathering last week. We are better together.
