Recipe of the Month: Lemon Tart

Lemon tart, known as "tarte au citron" in French, represents a timeless dessert creation composed of a delicate pastry shell that crumbles at the touch, enveloping a luscious lemon custard center. The ideal lemon tart achieves a harmonious fusion of zesty and sweet fruity notes. Distinguished from pies, it finds its form within a shallow tart tin. Various lemon tart recipes follow distinct techniques: some involve pre-baking the crust before filling it with the cooked lemon custard, which is then chilled in the refrigerator, while others opt to combine the uncooked filling with an unbaked crust before subjecting it to the oven's gentle heat.
