A Year of Abundant Blessings
Dear Ministry Partner,
2023 was a very busy year for Crossing Cultures International Central America. The Lord blessed this ministry in more ways than we can count. He provided numerous opportunities for us to minister and equip the church in Central America for Kingdom Work.

We taught multiple Teacher Training Workshops in Guatemala and Honduras, led several Resolving Conflict in a Godly Way seminars, and led a couple of teams to teach classes. The Lord gave us the opportunity to do a Medical Mission Trip in Huehuetenango, Guatemala with the Elmore Baptist Association.

My wife was also privileged to lead a Women’s Conference in 3 different churches with the help of Charlotte Hernandez and Barbara Kay Edwards.

Providing safe drinking water is always needed in Central America. This year we partnered with John 414 Missions and the Stover Family to provide a water well in Huehuetenango. This project is also opening doors for us this year for preaching and teaching opportunities.
One of the highlights of this last year was adding two new partners from Virginia. We now have the Rainbow Forest Baptist Church and Global Partners in Peace and Development, both of which are providing volunteer teams to help us minister to the churches of Central America. They have already provided training, kids evangelism, and a school kitchen upgrade. They will provide several mission teams in 2024.
Even though 2023 was and incredible year, it looks like 2024 will even be better. This work all began in Guatemala in 2021 with one class and has now expanded to many classes across Guatemala, two classes in Belize, and now two class in Honduras.

Please continue reading to learn more about the work that God is doing in Central America.

We are preparing two classes in Western Guatemala for a June graduation. These are the first two classes we started in 2021. We are so excited for these students that started right in the middle of the pandemic and have persevered through must adversity to get to this milestone in their life. Once they have graduated this June, we will have 21 new teachers to start classes in Western Guatemala.

God has also provided the opportunity to get classes started in Belize and Honduras.
Belize
Justin Atchison and his family moved from Atlanta to Belize last July and they hit the ground running. With Justin’s help, we started our first class in Belize City with 11 students. I took a team this past October to teach book #1 and another team is going in February to teach book #2.

We have already shipped books for a second class that will be starting in South Belize later in February. Please pray for Justin and Joel as they nurture this new work in Belize.

After exactly one year of groundwork, we are finally getting classes in Honduras. Please pray for Hamid Gutierrez as he teaches this week in El Progresso, Honduras and for Andrés Hernandez as he assists him. The students in this class have the potential to start several classes in Eastern Honduras in the next year. This is all the biproduct of a Teacher Training Workshop we conducted there last October.

We also have two trained teachers in San Pedro Sula prepared to start teaching classes there in February.

Please pray for the pastors and church leaders who will be attending the training, that they will learn effectively for fruitful ministry.

Will You Help Support Hamid's Vital Mission in Western Guatemala?
Hamid Gutiérrez, our Western Regional Coordinator, oversees the Pastor and Church Leader training program in Western Guatemala. In addition to teaching CCI classes, he also provides training and resources to all teachers and classes in the region. To ensure that new classes have qualified teachers, he recruits and certifies individuals through Teacher Training Workshops. Hamid plays a crucial role in ensuring the success of CCI in this region. Would you consider becoming a financial partner with Hamid?
Please prayerfully consider making a generous monthly investment toward the $500/month needed for personal and ministry expenses.
