Communion Statement
The Lord's Supper is celebrated here in the confession and glad confidence that our Lord, as He says, gives not only bread and wine, but His very body and blood to eat and drink for the forgiveness of sin. In joyful obedience to the clear teaching of our Lord Jesus those are invited to His table who trust His words, repent of all sin, and set aside any refusal to forgive and love as He forgives and loves us. They show forth His death until He comes. Because Holy Communion is a confession of the faith which is confessed at this altar, any who are not yet instructed, in doubt, or who hold a confession differing from that of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod and so are unable to receive the Sacrament are invited to meditate on God's Word in the distribution hymns and pray for the day when divisions will have ceased. If you wish to receive communion in your pew, please inform an usher.

Tri-City Good Friday Service
Please plan to attend the Tri-City Good Friday Service, March 29 at 1:00 p.m. at the Horizon's Conference Center, 6200 State Street, in Saginaw, MI. This year, unfortunately, we will not be having the Cross Walk. For those unable to attend the Tri-City Good Friday Service at Horizons in Saginaw at 1 pm on March 29th, there will be a streaming option this year. Easter Breakfast
On Sunday, March 31, breakfast will be served in the fellowship hall from 7:30-9:00 a.m. Scrambled eggs, ham, sausage, hash browns, caramel French toast, fruit salad, and pastries. A free-will offering will benefit the Youth.

Save a Pizza, Feed a Youth!
The Sunday Night Youth Group is recruiting culinary capable congregants willing to provide a meal for 8-12 people (teenagers and leaders). We have a sign-up poster on display by the Youth Room to select a date and provide meal details. Food allergies are listed as well. SNYG starts at 5:00 every Sunday unless noted. This will add some diversity to their Sundays. Thank you for your continued support of the Youth Group!
Tuesday Morning Women's Bible Study
The Tuesday morning women's bible study is beginning a new session on April 9 at 9:30 a.m. in the Ministry Center. We will be studying 1 & 2 Samuel. If you are interested please contact Julia Appold 989-225-1889, by April 3, so we have enough books ordered.

Camp Lu Lay Lea Lenten Dinner Thank You
A huge thank you to all who attended and donated to the Lenten Dinner on Wednesday, March 20. Through your generosity, we were able to raise enough money to allocate $40 to each of the 14 campers who worked to make the dinner possible. This will help to offset the cost of camper tuition for those 14 campers. We look forward to doing it again next year!

Stewardship - An Act of Faith
John 20:1 – “Now on the first day of the week ...” All is made new by the resurrection of Jesus! Even the day of worship has transitioned from the Old Testament’s Sabbath (Saturday) to the Lord’s Day of the New Testament (Sunday). For the Lord has made all things new: In rising from the dead as the new Adam, He has begun a new week for a new creation. We are also made new in Him — a new heart, a new life, new desires, a new outlook toward God. All this comes from our risen Lord’s grace. Especially after the sort of year we’ve had since last Easter, it sure is good news to hear that the Lord makes all things start afresh!

Old Testament Reading
Isaiah 25:6–9
On this mountain the LORD of hosts will make for all peoples a feast of rich food, a feast of well-aged wine, of rich food full of marrow, of aged wine well refined. And he will swallow up on this mountain the covering that is cast over all peoples, the veil that is spread over all nations. He will swallow up death forever; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from all faces, and the reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth, for the LORD has spoken. It will be said on that day, “Behold, this is our God; we have waited for him, that he might save us. This is the LORD; we have waited for him; let us be glad and rejoice in his salvation.”

1 Corinthians 15:1–11
Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep. Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles. Last of all, as to one untimely born, he appeared also to me. For I am the least of the apostles, unworthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me. When the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of James and Salome bought spices, so that they might go and anoint him. And very early on the first day of the week, when the sun had risen, they went to the tomb. And they were saying to one another, “Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance of the tomb?” And looking up, they saw that the stone had been rolled back—it was very large. And entering the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, dressed in a white robe, and they were alarmed. And he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has risen; he is not here. See the place where they laid him. But go, tell his disciples and Peter that he is going before you to Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.” And they went out and fled from the tomb, for trembling and astonishment had seized them, and they said nothing to anyone, for they were afraid.
