Fitch Ratings Classroom Visit

On Monday, February 6, 2017, Rodney Pelletier
and Stephanie Duski of Fitch Ratings
joined Professor John Glascock's Real Estate  Principles and Investments classes to discuss their experiences within the firm.

Students were able to learn more about the roles that bond rating agencies play in the real estate industry as well as the general environment of working in New York City.

In addition to the in class presentation, a number of seniors also had the opportunity to meet with Rodney and Stephanie over lunch to discuss Fitch Rating's work culture in greater detail.

Special thanks to the Fitch Company and Rodney and Stephanie for joining the classrooms for the day.

The Simon Konover Company Campus Visit and Site Tour
On February 8, 2017 Professor Glascock's Real Estate Investments class was privileged enough to hear from the Konover Company. Greg Konover and Brad Wainman presented a property they had recently acquired to the class, and gave the students the assignment of building a pro forma and giving a recommendation as to what to do with the property next.

On February 15, 2017, students  were invited to view the investment project first hand, as the Konover Company invited the students for a site tour of the Light House Square property.  Greg Konover shared with students the history of the property since  the Konover Company acquired it in 2014.  He went over the process of leasing the store fronts, as well as some of the different components involved in making it a successful investment.

Special thanks to the Konover Company for giving our students the opportunity in the classroom to participate in such an investment project.
