Ash Wednesday Services

February 14th @ 12pm & 6:30pm

On February 14th, Ash Wednesday, we will hold two worship services for those wanting to begin the season of Lent with imposition of ashes and a service of Holy Communion. The first service will begin at 12:00pm followed by another at 6:30pm.

This Lent, keep eating chocolate!!

Beginning February 21st

Have your cake, and eat it too. Instead of giving up something that may not deeply impact your spiritual life, try another discipline. Join us each Wednesday (2/21-3/20) during Lent at 5:30 for small groups, a provided dinner, and worship (Holden Evening Prayer) around the dinner table.

• 5:30 - Small Groups (activities for children provided)
• 6:15 - Provided Dinner
• 6:45 - Worship around the Dinner Table
• 7:15 - On the way home

We hope it will be a family affair, so we're providing activities for the kids during small group time, and we'll have you on your way home by 7:15!

The Gospel of Mark, A Beginners Guide to the Good News, w/ Amy Jill Levine

Continuing February 11th @ 9:45am

Join Pastor Matt as he journeys through the gospel of Mark. Each session we'll hear from renowned New Testament Scholar Amy Jill Levine via a 10 minute video and have plenty of time for discussion.

2024 Bishop's Bible Study

Thursday's during Lent

Bishop Tim Smith will offer an online Bible study on the book of Micah during Lent -specifically, the five Thursdays beginning February 22 and concluding in March 21 -from 7 to 8 p.m. via Zoom.

Lutheran Men in Mission

Saturday, February 10th @ 8:30am

The Lutheran Men in Mission will meet this Saturday at the IHOP off of Tunnel Rd beginning at 8:30am. Want to know more about this group?? Contact Bryan Short.

St. Mark's Prayer Team

Prayer matters, and that's why we're convening a team of folks at St. Mark's to regularly meet and lift up prayers for our community, the prayer list, and the concerns the team brings. We're looking at a range of options on times and formats (zoom/in-person). If you are interested in helping to lift up those prayers, please let the church office know so we can include you in the conversation!
