Wesley Woods Mother's Day Offering
Sunday, May 12
The Wesley Woods Mother’s Day offering provides charitable financial assistance, pastoral care, and wellness programming for older adults living in Wesley Woods communities. Support is provided to residents in need of financial assistance to remain in their Wesley Woods homes. A robust wellness program includes fitness classes and on-site nurses to enhance the well-being of residents, enabling them to live independently for longer. Wesley Woods chaplains provide ministry through personal visits, pastoral support, Bible study, and worship. On Sunday, May 12, you can help create hope and spread joy with a gift to Wesley Woods.

New Member Sunday
Sunday, May 19
Are ready to join the church? We’d love to welcome you into membership of our congregation. You can join any Sunday. If you would like to join with others, we’ll have a New Member Sunday on May 19th. It’s the Sunday of Pentecost, the birthday of God’s church. It is the perfect day to join. We have several families lined up to join and there’s room for you. It’s also a great day for a baptism. If you’ve never been baptized and are ready to take that next faithful step in your discipleship, you can get baptized that day too. On Sunday, April 28, the Haygood congregation welcomed the Grantham Family and the Van Wie Family. When we become professing members of a United Methodist congregation, we profess our faith in God, our desire to live as disciples of Jesus Christ, and our commitment to support the church through our prayers, presence, gifts, service and witness. We rejoice to recognize the Granthams and Van Wies as members of Christ's holy church and bid them welcome to our Haygood family.

Vacation Bible School
June 3-7 from 9AM-Noon
Haygood Gym
Click here to register your children for this fun-filled week. VBS is open to campers who are rising pre-K (4 years old) to rising 4th graders. If you are a Haygood CDC/Hut family, our staff can pick them up and drop them off at their classrooms. Please indicate this on the registration form.

Mission Camp
June 4-7 from 10AM-12:30PM
Haygood Parking Lot
If your child is a rising fifth or sixth grader, have them join us for mission camp on June 4th-7th. Mission camp will go from 10 AM-12:30 PM each day. We will be helping our church family and community members at Wesley Woods, and working on the church grounds. Click here to register so your child can experience being the hands and feet of Christ.

VBS Volunteers Needed!
June 2 through June 7
Help make VBS 2024 a success by volunteering for a shift or two. Nursery care is available for volunteers' children (ages 6 weeks to 3 years).
Dates of Shifts:
- Sunday, June 2 for Set-up 1pm-5pm
- Monday-Friday 8:30-12:30
- Friday (take down) 12 pm-1pm
We also have shifts for check-in (8:30-9:15) only.

The Happy Camper Needs Volunteers!

Hillside Community Craft Crawl
The Happy Camper will be on the road again on May 11 and we're looking for 6 volunteers. Each 2-hour shift needs 2 people to hand out popcorn, candy, lemonade, and water to an expected crowd of 200+ folks during this neighborhood event. Please contact Rev. Zant (will@haygoodumc.org) to sign-up.

Worship Schedule During the Sanctuary Renovation | |

The sanctuary renovation began on Monday, April 1, and is expected to last through June. While work is underway, our worship service will be in the Ecker Fellowship Hall on Sunday mornings. Here is the current worship schedule:
- Through May 19: services at 9AM and 11AM .
- May 26 (Memorial Day Weekend): service at 11AM only.
- June 2: service at 11AM only.
- June 9 (VBS Sunday): services at 9AM and 11AM.
- June 16 thru completion of the renovation: service at 11AM only.
During this time, the 11AM worship service will be live streamed each week.
The nursery will be available for all services.

To make your contact information available for your fellow church members to view on the Membership Roll, a small update to your privacy preference is needed.

- Select your name, or the name of a family member. Privacy settings are unique to each individual in your family.
- Select the privacy option you're comfortable with, or click Custom Privacy and select options for each field.
