AN UPDATE FROM THE ANTIOCHIAN VILLAGE

The 2023 Annual Appeal Starts Now!

Hello AV Fam!

Our annual fundraising campaign kicks off today!

We are so thankful for your support, generosity, and prayers these last few years in enabling us to undertake so many ambitious renovation projects here at the Village. St. Ignatius chapel has been re-sided and has new windows, and its basement has received a makeover. The Shrines have been redone.

We replaced the Pavilion posts and gave it a new sign with our logo. The old Infirmary has been transformed. And of course, Namie Hall progresses every week closer to a beautiful modern facility (pics of the new porch roof soon!).

This winter, we need the help of the Antiochian Village family to continue the restoration of our facilities, ensuring they last for generations of campers to come!

This Year's Projects

This year, we have Two projects that we are asking for your support to undertake.

The goal of this year's campaign is to raise funds for a renovation of our Arts & Crafts building and to replace our Overnight tents and platforms

All donations up to $100,000 will be matched by a generous anonymous donor!

Arts& Crafts Building

The Arts & Crafts building at the bottom of the track is aging and needs a serious renovation in order to continue housing one of our most popular summer camp programs

We plan to re-side the exterior, install the traditional Village green metal roof, and replace its flooring, windows, and doors. The building will receive numerous upgrades, including a wash station, expanded island work station, ceiling fans, new electrical, and a newly constructed storage room.

By modernizing this structure, we will be able to provide a greater variety of activities for our campers and further develop this most popular camp activity

With your generosity, we can transform this space and support the full extent of our Arts & Crafts program!

Overnight Site

The second goal of this year's fundraising campaign is to build new structures to house our campers during the Overnight program.

Currently, our 30-year-old canvas tents have suffered damage and wear throughout the years and are barely usable. The wooden platforms that have held the tents will become structurally unsafe for campers after another winter.

The Village needs your immediate help to ensure that the Overnight program can continue both this upcoming Summer and for years after.

With these funds, we will build new reinforced permanent structures for our campers and staff at the site using long lasting materials such as composite decking and metal.

The Overnight program has become a staple at the Village, bringing campers in closer contact with God's magnificent creation. It is an opportunity for a Villager to briefly leave their comfort zone and encounter nature.

Let us ensure that this experience continues to be an integral part of AV.
