NAMI Glendale support groups are often the first place people find NAMI mental health support, and many of us have found a home in these accepting groups. We offer NAMI Glendale Family Support Groups and Connection support groups that are inclusive and welcoming to ALL.

Additionally, we offer Family Support Groups in Spanish (Grupo de Apoyo) for Latino community members. Our Women of Color Connection Group offers a supportive space for women of color living with a mental health condition. The NAMI Glendale LGBTQ+ Groups are a space for people who identify as LGBTQ+ to share either their own lived experience or to get support for their loved ones.

NAMI Glendale Grupo de Apoyo (Family Support Group in Spanish) at Northeast Mental Health Center meets the first Wednesday of every month.

SOCIAL EVENTS

300+

community members attended NAMI Glendale parties and NAMI Glendale/ GLAC fundraisers.

Hundreds of NAMI Glendale community members attended our social events in 2024, such as the summer party at the park, the holiday bowling party and, of course, NAMIWalks in May.

These celebratory and inclusive spaces are a way for our community members to get to know each other, to make new friends and "just be" in an accepting, joyful space.

At summer and holiday parties, we host approximately 100 community members with lived experience and community partners. Fundraiser events like NAMIWalks and the You Will Be Found Benefit Concert (organized by NAMI Greater LA County) are spaces to raise money to fund cost-free life-saving mental health programs, while also providing space to appreciate all we have built together.
