Friends, Romans, Countrymen, MLS families, Lend me your ears!

What a full week! We have so much for which to be thankful at MLS.

Thanks to

  • Students for their diligent work for the learning fair.
  • Teachers for their guidance and encouragement.
  • Parents for their support of their children's education.
  • The PTA's executive committee assigned to coordinate the book fair.

All these factors made for an successful event!

The final quarter of the school year will soon be upon us. With the end of the school year on that FAR horizon, we need to remember that we so much great learning that will be taking place. Please keep in mind that our start time is 8:10. When we have challenging weather, we definitely show grace for those driving a bit more slowly to be safe. However, our regular school start time is 8:10.

Wanting to drop off before 8:00? Please feel free to use the EAST entrance. Before school care is free of charge and is available as early as 7:15.

Planning for Mayfest is in the works! Each family will receive information about Mayfest on Monday. The success of this MAJOR fundraiser makes it possible for us to not increase the cost of tuition despite the rising cost of living in our current economy. Mayfest IS work, but also much FUN!

Mayfest has been an integral part of MLS reaching back to the school's inception. We hope to have as much parental involvement as possible. A form will be included in the packet coming home with your child. Please complete that and have your child return it to their classroom teacher. Students will receive a "stellar" gift for their completed form.

Check out the bulletin board opposite the school office for some basic information about Mayfest. It really is GREAT event! :)

I55 Book Fair

Many thanks to those who purchased books at our recent book fair. We receive 40% in "Book Bucks" that we can use to purchase books for our classroom libraries. Thank you so much!

Parent Teacher Conferences: March 5th and 7th

Be on the look out for a "We Join" link to select a time to conference with your child's teacher. Teachers will send this link out shortly. Please make every effort to visit with your child teacher. We love sharing your child's progress and growth.

MORE GRATITUDE Thanks to the 5th-7th grades students, Mrs. Hood, Mrs. Beckers, and those who donated to the "Food From the Heart" campaign. Our final count of items was 2,550 items & $52 in cash donations!

STEM CLUB is up and running! Check out our students learning the technical aspect of 3-D digital printing.

(What does it take to print out a Luther Lion paw print?)
