In our first story of the morning, the TPGA shares information on a plethora of training sessions being offered by the TCEQ on how to submit Tier II reports.

In our second story of the morning, the Texas Propane Gas Association outlines the importance of photo documentation of tank installations.

In our last story of the morning, the Texas Propane Gas Association invites its members to support the TPGA Scholarship Foundation on Giving Tuesday next week. Giving Tuesday is a national day held annually to support causes all over the nation and world from education to other non-profit initiatives.

Documenting Propane

Container Installations

LP Gas magazine recently highlighted the significance of documenting and reviewing propane installations. In the article, it discusses how thorough photo documentation is crucial for ensuring propane tank compliance with NFPA 58 standards. Capture images of containers from various angles, particularly in relation to structures, to clearly demonstrate adherence to setback requirements.

Management should regularly review photos of new tank installations and customer sites to identify and address potential issues promptly. Common issues include containers placed too close to building openings or ignition sources and regulators requiring remote venting.

Provide immediate feedback to technicians and drivers while the container is still fresh in their minds. This real-time coaching prevents recurrence of mistakes and reduces the need for return trips.

For existing customers, instruct delivery drivers and technicians to use photo documentation to report container-related issues. Organize these photos in a dashboard for easy access and prompt remediation.

Choose a photo documentation platform specifically designed for the propane industry to streamline the review process and ensure compliance with NFPA 58 standards.
