A Victorious Visit to the Visayas
Dear Ministry Partners,
In November, I spent two weeks mentoring in Central and Western Visayas. I went with our coordinators to promote the ministry, visit classes, hold a Teacher Training Workshop (TTW), talk with potential coordinators, participate in graduation ceremonies, and enjoy wonderful fellowship with our brothers and sisters in the faith.
| |
Pastor Candole and I enjoyed a time of fellowship with his students in Iloilo. We discussed expanding the ministry and promoting our training programs among the indigenous people groups.
We appreciate your prayers and support.

Pastor Eloi Cabillan’s class on Preaching Biblical Messages and Pastoral Ministry had their final exam, in which everyone was required to share God’s Word using an outline they prepared themselves. They will hold a mock wedding in January before they start the next book.
Pastor Nonie and I drove about 130 km to Estancia to visit his class, which took almost three hours. Thirty-two students were present. I gave a short testimony to encourage the students, and then Pastor Nonie taught the class. In this class, an 80-year-old pastor and a teenage girl sit side-by-side to study.
After the class discussion, we distributed three sacks of assorted clothing donated by a church member in Iloilo City. The students had lunch together and spent time in fellowship before going home.
| |
Pastor Nonie and I also visited the class on the island of Guimaras. I talked to the teacher, Pastor Narciso Posadas. He said that he appreciates CCI training because it helps him produce teachers. He testified that the materials are life-changing because he has witnessed his students grow in their faithfulness to learn and gain confidence in teaching the Bible.
| |
I also interviewed two of their students, Pablito Aranda and his wife, Florencia. They told me they learned how to use God’s Word systematically through CCI training.

Teacher Training Workshop (TTW)
Pastor Nonie and I led a Teacher Training Workshop (TTW) in Cadiz City, Negros Occidental, with 14 participants.
After the TTW, Pastor Nonie named two men whom he will train as volunteer Area Coordinators in Negros Occidental: Pastor Jero Salem (left, in photo below) and Pastor Nemrod Polutan (right).
God's Financial Principles (GFP) Seminar
Last October, Pastor Melvin Caindoy held a God’s Financial Principles Seminar at Heavensent Ministries in Maribojoc, Bohol. Here’s a testimony from Daniel Ray C. Cabañeros, a CCI student who participated.
"The seminar really opened my eyes to how I should handle money. I realized I'm not really the owner of anything, just a caretaker of what God has given me, including my money.
I also picked up some cool tips on saving more, staying out of debt, and why investing is so important. These skills will definitely help me be a better steward of God's blessings, whether it's for myself, my family, or even helping others. I’m thankful to the Lord and CCI Philippines for this awesome seminar. I can't wait to share what I learned with my church and everyone else.”
-Daniel Ray C. Cabañeros

His teacher, Pastor Melvin, continues the story:
“After the seminar, Daniel and his father recently purchased a cow as a strategic investment. This action underscores their commitment to financial growth and aligns with their belief in the power of asset-based savings. By acquiring this asset, they aim to accelerate their savings and generate additional income. They have a clear vision for utilizing the potential returns from this investment within the next two years. I pray for them to succeed and that God will bless them.”

Two classes in Bohol jointly held their graduation ceremonies at Island Gospel Ministries (IGM) in Talibon. One class was the fifth batch of students at IGM, and the other was the second batch from Valencia. They were all taught by CCI graduates from previous years. A total of 21 students graduated on this occasion. Because of the Covid pandemic, it took them almost five years to finish the training, but they persevered in spite of these difficulties.
Edna Laurenciano, who graduated in Hong Kong last September:
"The time I joined this study was during a 3-year pandemic, which the online study has made possible (because there was no choice but only the desire and decision to join) for everyone, everywhere, to come together – to congregate in the study of His Word.
As a student of His Word and as one servant of the Lord in His vineyard, this study has helped me a lot on how to understand and interpret the Word of God in such a way that it would personally grow my knowledge in Him and to share to others the right meaning so as not to lead them in the wrong context of His Word. This study reminded me of how important it is to interpret the Word of God. It helped me to be prayerful, too, as I dig into the study of His Word. I also realize that we need to continuously devote ourselves to the study of His Word as 2 Timothy 2:15 says, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
