Our team has been busy in recent weeks, both attending and hosting events in the relative calm of fleeting winter.
Last Sunday, members of our marketing and events team, which now includes Marketing & Events Administrator Sherry Shultz, consulting Digital Media Manager Caroline Petosa and Marketing Intern Brinkley Dolgos, attended Chesapeake Bay Wedding's Under the Veil show at Kent Island Resort in Stevensville, Md. (pictured above). The team met vendors and numerous future brides alike at our booth, beautifully decorated by flowers from Rock Hall's Sara's Garden.
Two Saturdays past, on Feb. 17, Haven Harbour Yacht Services' Erik Lostrom led the second session in our 2024 Seminar Series on boat care and maintenance topics. Despite the snowy conditions, a commendable turnout came to hear guest speaker Nick Slater of Access Power Solutions provide intel on the latest in battery and shore power technology. Our very own Taylor White and Curtis Heckert also lended helpful commentary for a morning of informative Q&A.
Taylor and Erik also paid a recent visit to PKYS in Annapolis this past Monday and Tuesday for training on Victron electronics products, including solar controllers, inverters, chargers, lithium batteries, monitoring systems and more.
With clocks forwarding next week, the dated start to spring in 18 days, and the unofficial resumption of boating in just under two months, our minds are on the moments soon to be made out on the water. In this spirit, all are welcomed to join us on the vernal equinox, Tuesday, March 19, 4:30–5:30 p.m., for a traditional sock burning celebration at Haven Harbour South beach.
