Half-Day, May 9th


Please be reminded that on Thursday, May 9th we will have a half academic day in school. The college will be celebrating a graduation and our OMC family will need to be off of the CHC campus. Dismissal will be at noon. Thank you for your understanding.

Congratulations to OMC Girls' Track Teams!


Earlier today, OMC's Senior Girls 4x100 came in 6th place in the Penn Relays Finals!


Congratulations to Felicity Josephs, Na'Zyia Mears, Shamya McFadden, and Dior Battle on their accomplishment!


Congratulations are also due to Grace Sprandio, who came in second place for her qualification round!

The OMC Golden Night committee is wrapping up our auction requests and assembling baskets and packages for the auction. We need the following items to round out some of our baskets. If you have any on hand or see them at a discounted price while running your errands, we would appreciate any of the following items:

The Archdiocese has extended significantly discounted tickets for Hershey Park to the OMC community.

OMC Spring Concert and Art Exhibit, May 15


The OMC Spring Concert and Art Exhibit will be held on May 15 in the Rotunda of Saint Joseph Hall at Chestnut Hill College. Click the link below for the campus map, St. Joseph Hall is marked #8.

Lower Grades will begin at 1:30 PM and Upper Grades will begin at 6:00 PM. If your student will be performing with the Upper Grades, please remember to have them arrive at least 15 minutes early so that they can join their classmates.

Note for Eighth Grade Families


If you have not already done so, please inform Shane Sprandio (ssprandio@omcschool.com) of your student's high school choice and all scholarship offers made to them, including from the ones they did not choose.


Individual students' choices and scholarship information will not be made public. This will be used to understand and share information about where OMC classes continue their education and the class total for scholarships at those institutions.

CSFP is now accepting financial aid applications for students in grades K-8 for the 2024-2025 academic year.

BLOCS


Business Leadership Organized for Catholic Schools (BLOCS) provides financial aid to qualifying OMC families through Pennsylvania's Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) and Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit (OSTC) programs.

Become a Donor


The EITC and OSTC programs allow businesses and individuals who pay taxes in the state of Pennsylvania to redirect their tax bill to financial aid for OMC students and receive up to a 90% tax credit for a two-year commitment.


Donating to OMC through these programs helps to ensure that Catholic education remains accessible to all our families.

High School Information

Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School,

Practice Test - April 27 & 28


OMC girls in 6th and 7th grades are invited to participate in a Practice Test at Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School. The Practice Test covers grade-appropriate material in Math and English and introduces students to the procedures of high school entrance testing. The test will be held April 27 and 28, 7:30 AM - 11:30 AM. A parent information session will be offered in the morning after the exam begins for anyone one interested in learning more about the admissions process.

Roman Catholic High School Private Family Tours,

End May 16th


Roman Catholic High School will continue hosting private tours for families until May 16th for 7th and 8th grade boys interested in the school.

Summer Activities

Title I Summer Journey, July 8 - August 1

Registration has started for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia Title I Summer Journey.


The program offers students in qualifying families free summer instruction that will reinforce learning to provide a seamless transition into the Fall.


Families will be able to choose between in-person offerings scheduled for Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM-2:00 PM, or virtual sessions on the same days 1:00-3:30 PM.

Summer Journey 2024

Summer at Mount Saint Joseph Academy


Each year, the Mount invites middle school girls entering grades 5-9 to explore a variety of fun new experiences through immersive, hands-on camps. There is something for everyone, with camp choices ranging from STEM and various Sports to Glee, Visual Arts, and Culinary Arts.


Flexible schedules are designed to allow campers with varied interests to enroll in multiple camps and tailor their own unique experience. Camps run from June through August.

Summer at the Mount

St. Joseph's Prep Crew Camp for Boys and Girls


St. Joseph's Prep invites OMC boys and girls to participate in the Prep Crew Camp to teach students how to row.


Three week-long sessions will be offered in July with the option to attend for one, two, or the complete three weeks. Students will learn to row from nationally ranked coaches.

Summer Camps at Gwynedd


OMC girls entering grades 6-8 in the 2024-2025 academic year are invited to Gynedd Mercy Academy's Summer Camps.


Students can choose between sports and performing arts camps. They can also apply to Camp Inspire, a full-day, four-day ‘confidence camp’ designed to expose girls to a STEAM field while also teaching them to develop their sense of purpose & self-worth from within.  


Students can select ONE camp per week (i.e. Art: Superstar Stenciling OR Music Video Studio) and may apply to up to 2 weeks of Camp Inspire. Half the day is dedicated to the STEAM Curriculum selected on your application and the other half is dedicated to the Confidence Camp. All students are required to attend the full day of camp - no exceptions.

Merion Mercy Summer Programs


Registration is open for Merion Mercy’s Summer Programs.


Merion Mercy Academy has a variety of academic, enrichment and athletic offerings for girls and boys in grades 6-12, including their acclaimed pre-eighth grade Summer Academy and Prep Time! High School Placement Test Preparation course. We also offer fun enrichment programs such as Make Art! and STEM, and sports camps for girls such as Basketball, Field Hockey, Lacrosse, Soccer, Softball, and

Volleyball.

Youth Football Camp

This summer in the Philadelphia area, the National Football League Alumni Association is hosting a safe, non-contact youth football camp for boys and girls ages 6-14 years old. The camp is led by professional coaches and features NFL Alumni Philadelphia Eagles. This is their 23rd year of youth football camps.

All new OMC volunteers need to pass background checks. More information on these checks with links to the services that provide them can be found on our Volunteer for OMC Page.


Volunteers will also need to register for and complete the Archdiocese of Philadelphia's Office for Child and Youth Protection training Protecting God's Children.
