Arapahoe County Dates and Deadlines Document
In order to keep our 4-H families and volunteers informed on 4-H dates and deadlines, the 4-H team has created a document containing an updated list of county-wide dates and deadlines for the 4-H year. Support 4-H at Culver's in Littleton This Month
We are excited to announce that the Culver's at 7440 South Broadway in Littleton is dedicating funds from their "Thank You Farmers" program to the Arapahoe County 4-H Foundation. The fundraiser continues throughout the month of February. A portion of all purchases will go directly to support our 4-H members through scholarships, camps, events, and programs. Head on over and try out their ButterBugers and Frozen Custard.

4-H Foundation IVY Award Applications Being Accepted
The Arapahoe County 4-H Foundation is now accepting applications for their IVY (Important Volunteer of the Year) award. Click on the image to the right to access the application. The application is a fillable pdf. You can type directly in the application or you can print it out and complete it by hand. Instructions on where to send your completed application are listed on the application. All applications are due to Kathy McDaniel by 3/1/24.

There will be a CAT MEETING at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 14. It will be held on Zoom. Please register for the meeting by clicking on the image to the left.
If you are a cat member please plan to attend the meeting. We will go over information that will be helpful to you to complete your cat project.

Please remember that members need to be 8 and older as of December 31 to enroll in animal projects. The deadline to submit your animal ID info is Saturday, May 1. Beekeeping Project Meeting
There will be a Beekeepers' meeting Sunday February 25th at 2pm. Topics of the day will be fair projects, review of homework, and some bee facts. All this will be done through Zoom, mostly because it's too cold to open the hives. Call Amy Dodd at 303-378-7324 or click on the image on the right to email her to get the zoom link.

State Fair Dog Show Date Change
Attention Dog Members! We wanted you to know that the dates for State 4-H Dog Show have changed! You will have to qualify at the county show to be eligible for the state show but wanted all dog families to be aware of the change.
Saturday, September 14th: All Obedience Classes; Rally: Intermediate, Advanced, Excellent, Advanced/Excellent (RAE) and Masters; Rally Team Classes at the Ag Palace in the Colorado State Fairgrounds, 1001 Beulah Ave, Pueblo, CO 81004
Sunday, September 15th: All Showmanship classes and Novice Rally Classes at the Ag Palace in the Colorado State Fairgrounds, 1001 Beulah Ave, Pueblo, CO 81004

Arapahoe County 4-H Shooting Sports Safety Training
February 24 1:00 PM
There is one more date scheduled for the mandatory Safety Meeting. It will be held in the east wing of the fairgrounds, prior to the indoor practice. You MUST attend one and if you were unable to attend the February 3 session, you must attend on February 24 at 1:00 PM.

Sundays there will be Shotgun Sporting Clays Practices Kiowa Creek Sporting Club at 8:30 AM followed by Shooting Sports practice at Sorber’s Ranch at 1:30 PM.
Saturdays starting April 6 there will be Shotgun Skeet Practice at Golden Gun Club at 10:00 AM followed by Shooting Sports practice at Sorber’s Ranch at 1:30 PM.

Are you interested in becoming a 4-H Certified Shooting Sports Leader? The Arapahoe County 4-H Shooting Sports Project is in need of additional volunteers to help support the growing program! We are trying to offer more practices, events, and other activities but need dedicated volunteers who are willing to get involved. This is an incredible opportunity to support a rapidly growing project in the Arapahoe County 4-H Program. This includes trainings, coaching, and developing connections with other leaders from across the state! 4-H volunteers must be approved, enrolled and active in 4HOnline prior to registering for the trainings. Background checks are 2-4 weeks behind. Do not delay the volunteer enrollment or re-enrollment process.

When: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. March 18th and March 19th
