Come meet others who work in family-serving organizations. This is a structured event where participants will have 2-3 minutes to share about your organization or a specific program in several rounds. Think of speed dating but in small groups. Help Me Grow Skagit's Family Palooza is partnering with the Skagit Valley Family YMCA's Healthy Kids Day! It's free and open to the public. Please spread the word to families!

The Children's Council has formed a workgroup focused on coordinating parent and caregiver programming in Skagit.  That group is also looking to start programming, like playgroups.  We would like feedback from parents on what they would attend. The survey is short and will only be open for another week. Please help us share it out!

Every five years, the Washington State Department of Health (DOH) completes an assessment of the health of children, parents and caregivers, and families in the state. This is an opportunity to have your voice hears as they develop priorities for funding and efforts. We are going to be discussing this a bit more at the upcoming Children’s Council meeting on Wednesday, March 13th and hope the Children’s Council partners can speak to areas we have identified in our strategic plan (systems-level needs - e.g., sustainable funding for coordination, navigation, resource centers, etc.).
