CWCF HOSTS SUCCESSFUL CONFERENCE

Thanks to the 57 participants and our co-host Réseau COOP, who made this year's CWCF Conference a resounding success. The experience demonstrated once again that we are indeed stronger together. Watch for a special post-Conference newsletter in the coming weeks.

CWCF AGM UPDATE

Delegates approved all three proposed bylaw amendments. In addition, all four nominees to the board of directors were acclaimed: returning directors Leslie Brown (Atlantic region), Chris Nichols (BC/ Yukon region), and Kelly Storie (at-large), as well as new director Tara Williams (at-large).

CWCF WELCOMES NEW DIRECTOR TO BOARD

CWCF congratulates Tara Williams, a member of GIA Consulting Co-op, on her election as director-at-large.

CWCF MEMBERS RECEIVE AWARDS

Congratulations to two CWCF members for their recent awards from the Alberta Community and Co-operative Association: Common Good Capital program member Local Investing YYC, which received the Co-operative Visionary Leadership Award; and Multicultural Health Brokers (celebrating its 25th anniversary this year!), winner of the Co-operative Merit Award.


BMP CO-OP HOSTS DRAG SHOW FUNDED BY CWCF GRANT/ LAUNCHES CROWD-FUNDING CAMPAIGN

The Drag Hatters Tea Party will raise funds to help BMP Co-op renovate its kitchen and bathrooms. The event received CWCF's 2023 Young Adult Arts and Culture Grant. In addition, BMP Co-op has launched a crowd-funding campaign, please see this link.

DID YOU KNOW?


CWCF's Technical Assistance program provides grants of up to $4,000 to cover specialty consulting services such as marketing, financial administration, governance, expansion, conflict resolution or legal issues.
