It's Not Too Late to Give to Faith Promise

Faith Promise is the primary means by which Christ Covenant financially supports international and domestic supported workers and church planters. Through Faith Promise, God blesses those who are supported, those whose prayers he answers by providing unexpected resources, and those who hear how God demonstrates his power to provide in beautiful ways, year after year. Ultimately those who are blessed the most are those who hear the good news and whose lives are changed for an eternity! What might God supply through you to help empower our supported workers and church planters across the globe this year as they share Christ across the world?

Faith Promise pledge cards are available on the tables outside the sanctuary doors. You can also give your pledge online by clicking here.

Daylight Savings

Sunday, March 10

Daylight Savings is March 10, 2024. Don't forget to 'spring-forward' and set your clock an hour ahead on Saturday night. We will have Sunday School at 9:00 am and morning worship at 10:45 am on Sunday, March 10. We look forward to seeing you there!

Ministry Highlight: Deacons’ Special Offering HisAbilities Ministry

Sunday's special offering will support the ministry of HisAbilities. HisAbilities is a ministry of Christ Covenant Church that seeks to come alongside those families and individuals impacted by disability with advocacy, resources, encouragement, and support. It also aims to encourage and equip our church to be a body that embraces those members affected by disability as vital to our fellowship and integral to our ministry. In addition to ministries like the Kings Community Sunday School class and regular fellowship opportunities, one of the ways that HisAbilities is seeking to facilitate both of these is through the provision of Respite opportunities.

Respite Night is an opportunity for our church to come alongside our families doing life with disabilities by providing a few hours of respite support for parents while their children are cared for and enjoy a time of fun and friendship in a safe and loving environment. God’s grace is richly evident in the blessings received by parents, children, and volunteers alike during Respite events hosted by our church! And we are excited about our upcoming Spring Respite Night on April 20, in the Community Life Center (CLC). Please see the additional article below in today’s e-courier for more information and how to get involved!

HisAbilities also seeks to support respite care to our families by providing scholarships to Family Retreats by Joni and Friends Charlotte, a ministry partner of Christ Covenant. These annual week-long retreats provide the opportunity for families affected by disability to enjoy worship, spiritual encouragement, physical rest, relational engagement and expanded access to recreational experiences. We have been able to provide these scholarships to families for several years, and they continue to be a source of great blessing and needed refreshment for our families who are able to attend.

In supporting the ministry of HisAbilities, today’s offering will go in part to the continued provision of vital respite opportunities like these. We are grateful for the ways that Christ Covenant continues to invest in this ministry of our church. To learn more about HisAbilities contact Dave Baxter at dbaxter@christcovenant.org.

Please place all special/monthly communion offering gifts in an envelope (found in pews) and label it ‘Special Communion Offering’ and include the name of the ministry, HisAbilities, before placing your gift in one of the tithe boxes located inside the sanctuary at our main doors in the north, south and toward the main lobby. You can also give online by clicking here. Thank you for your gift!

Supported Worker Spotlight

Sunday Evening, March 10

All are welcome to join us on Sunday, March 10, following the evening service in the Community Life Center rooms 1&2 (CLC), to hear from our supported workers, Samuel and Carol Foucachon. Samuel and Carol are church planters in Paris, France. They began the first worship service of what is now the Chapelle de Nesle in the center of Paris (Latin quarter) in 2012. Come and enjoy light refreshments as we learn about what the Lord is doing through the Foucachons in Paris!

Women's Ministry Girls' Night Out

Monday, March 18

Our Spring Girls' Night Out will be on Monday, March 18, at 6:00pm, at Yafo Kitchen in Southpark (address is 720 Gov Morrison St #120, Charlotte, NC 28211). The only cost is the cost of your dinner!

We do Girls' Night Outs quarterly throughout the year as a way for women to enjoy fellowship together. This is a great way for ladies who are new to the church to get connected. We hope to see everyone there!

Easter Egg Hunt

Saturday, March 23

Children’s ministry invites you to attend our Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 23, from 9:30 am – 11:30 am in the Community Life Center (CLC). This is a family fun time for children 5th grade and younger to come for story time*, crafts and an egg hunt. We hope to see you there! *Story times are at 10:00 am and 11:00 am. This is a great opportunity to invite family, friends and neighbors to join you. Have questions, contact Amy at awallace@christcovenant.org.

Candy Needed for Easter Egg Hunt

Children’s ministry is requesting donations of bags of individually wrapped candy for the upcoming Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 23. Baskets are available for donation drop off at the Children’s Ministry Welcome Desk in the north lobby and at the Guest Center in the main lobby. Have questions, contact Amy Wallace at awallace@christcovenant.org.

Monthly Prayer for Our Nation

Sunday, March 24

All are invited to join us once a month for a time of prayer focused on our nation. Throughout Scripture, we read of God’s people calling out to him for help, guidance, and direction for its leaders and land. In this election year it seems right to gather, not for politics, but prayer. Would you join us on Sunday, March 24, from 5:00 pm – 5:40 pm, in the worship center room 107 as we gather to call on God’s name?

Volunteers Needed for HisAbilities Respite Night

Deadline to Register is March 30

Christ Covenant’s HisAbilities ministry needs volunteers for our upcoming Spring Respite Night on Saturday, April 20. This event is a wonderful opportunity for our church to come alongside Christ Covenant families impacted by disability by providing a few hours of respite for parents while their children are cared for and engaged by a team of volunteers providing a safe environment with a variety of fun activities! Volunteers must be a member of Christ Covenant, but no experience with disabilities is needed to serve (training resources are provided and we work to make sure our volunteers are serving in a capacity in which they are comfortable). The evening is always a rich blessing and a great time to make encouraging connections with this special part of our church body! Respite Night is held in the lower level of the Community Life Center, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm.

To learn more or register to volunteer please contact Amy Van Dusen at avandusen@christcovenant.org. The deadline for volunteer registration is March 30. And if you are a member or attending family impacted by disability or special needs who would benefit from participating or would just like to learn more about Respite Night, please contact Amy Van Dusen as well. Participants need to register by April 6.
