We want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving holiday and send abundant gratitude and love to everyone who is a part of the Community Food Bank family. For many, the holiday season is a time for gratitude and giving, but for thousands of our Grand Valley neighbors who are already struggling to make ends meet, it can be a time of intense stress and solitude. For us, it is hands down the busiest time of year -- with demand for our services soaring.
Every year at the Community Food Bank, we work hard to make sure ALL our Grand Valley neighbors can have a festive Thanksgiving meal with their loved ones. Yet again we have exceeded our goals in helping as many Grand Valley folks as possible have a festive Thanksgiving dinner -- serving 670 households with 1,900+ individuals. This year we provided holiday grocery assistance to 130 more households than last year!! This included 176 holiday food box deliveries.
Thank you for making that a reality!! From our donors, to our volunteers, to our food drive contributors -- we simply could not do this work without you.
Three cheers and a special shout out to all the Community Food Bank staff members who worked tirelessly to make this week possible. We are so grateful to have such an amazing team of hardworking souls who care about one another, and the community we seek to serve.
Finally, we send our utmost gratitude to all the farmers, agricultural workers, and producers who work so hard to grow the food we eat.
