Good morning! Here is your Things@King's weekly update.

The student version of Things@King's will move to a bi-weekly schedule during the summer months. The bi-weekly schedule will run from May 13 - August 21, 2024.

Important Graduation Deadlines & Dates

Don't miss out on your chance to graduate! To participate in the June convocation, you must apply to graduate by April 30. Visit the Western Student Center to apply to graduate and check that your name is written correctly.


Book your appointment now for the final grad portrait sitting on April 24. Your $25 fee includes 8-10 poses in graduation attire, 2-3 poses in casual attire, and an 11" x 14" graduation class composite photo. More information is on the Pegasus page.


Save the Date for graduation. Spring Convocation for King's graduates will be Tuesday, June 18, 2024.

Student Spotlight

King's scores Top 10 finish in tournament


The King’s Basketball team finished in the Top 10 in the National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA) National Basketball Championship, held April 13-14. King’s defeated the University of Colorado and Baylor University before losing to eventual champions, Grand Canyon University. King’s season included winning a tournament at Seneca Polytechnic and being runner-up at the Credit River Cup.

Allyship and Healing - a Lunch and Learn

Indigenous Elder Liz Akiwenzie will be on campus to share her teachings with faculty and staff on allyship and healing. She will delve into topics such as how to honour yourself, your family, your community, and Indigenous nations in healthy relationships.


Registration is required as lunch is being provided. Please send your dietary restrictions to Nikki Sasso Mitchell by April 25.

This award is granted to a graduating student from King’s. It is granted based on academic success, as well as individual and social achievements and/or in the community.
