ONGOING EVENTS

Belonging

This Wednesday is week 4/4

Wednesdays, January 17, 24, 31 & February 7, 7-8:30pm

On Wednesdays, Roger will facilitate "Belonging" a four-week conversation about what it means to be a member of St Timothy’s and The Episcopal Church. Participants will be encouraged to share their experiences of life in the church—past and present. Through these conversations we will identify the central beliefs and practices of Episcopalians. All meetings will be in-person at St. Timothy’s.

These sessions are primarily for people who are new to The Episcopal Church and want to learn more about the faith, practice, and history of The Episcopal Church in preparation for being Confirmed or Received into The Episcopal Church by one of our bishops.

If you are interested in participating or have any questions, please email Roger at rogerg@sainttimothys.com

Make Your Passion Your Action

Commitment Sunday

Next week, February 11

If you attended church last Sunday, in the pews you probably saw cards that listed all the groups we have at St. Timothy's. Those cards were set out as a soft introduction to a new initiative the Vestry and staff is inviting you into. Similar to the Annual Giving Appeal in the fall that deals with finances and funding the mission of this church, "Make Your Passion Your Action" is a Time Giving Appeal.

From now until Sunday, February 11, you're encouraged to meditate on how you have spent your time at St. Tim's in the past and how God is calling you to spend your time this year. This may be trying something new, getting involved with something new, or stepping back for a season of rest.

Find out more about the appeal here: SaintTimothys.com/mypya

Coffee Hour

Post-Eucharist

Worship Space

We all know how nice it is to come out of a long worship service, too rushed on the way to church to grab breakfast. When there's a plate of cookies or brownies, we smile and maybe relax a little bit, not so quick to rush off to the rest of our week.

Because this is not something that can be sustained by one or even two people, we are recruiting you, the parishioner! We ask you to bring cookies, brownies, fruit, or any little snacks to share after our worship service. The month will be divided into groups of last names.

Monthly Breakdown

1st Sunday - last names beginning with A - F

2nd Sunday - last names beginning with G - K

3rd Sunday - last names beginning with L - P

4th Sunday - last names beginning with Q - U

5th Sunday - last names beginning with T - Z

For example, if your last name is "Adams," you are asked to bring a snack on the first Sunday of the month. If your name is "Zorn," you are asked to bring a snack on the fifth Sunday of the month.

Email Scam Warning

Unfortunately, there are multiple scam emails being sent to parishioners. The perpetrators have emails with Roger's name in them and have gone as far as taking his photo from our website. They can be convincing, but beware - they are scams. There isn't anything we can do about the impersonators except to flag the email as a fake account. If this happens to you, please report the email in your inbox.

Remember: Roger will NEVER email you asking for money or gift cards. ALL official correspondence from Roger will come from the @SaintTimothys.com address ONLY.

Be careful online - always check and double-check your links and accounts.
