More to come about this fun Sunday!

Youth Sunday, May 19th, 2024

The youth will help lead worship at the 10:30 a.m. service on May 19th, the Feast of Pentecost. Please contact Lawrence Goering at lgoering@goodshepherdrmt.org or 252-442-1134, ext. 5 if you would like to participate. There is space available for youth to play musical instruments, read lessons, lead the prayers, serve as greeters or ushers, and possibly to serve in other ways. The younger children who participate in Children's Chapel will be sent information about how they can participate in Youth Sunday as well. We hope to have many youth participate in this service!

Looking for a way to get involved?

Your Altar Guild is requesting support from the congregation in order to help carry out our mission.

We prepare the communion elements for each service, funeral or wedding (if included in the service). At this time, we are looking specifically for new members for the 10:30 service. We are hoping to increase from our current four members to six to eight members. Our members currently serve once a month by themselves except during Lent, Christmas or months with five Sundays.

We welcome individuals and couples. We request the Sundays you cannot serve before scheduling the next month to accommodate schedules. We can also coordinate with the acolyte schedule so you and your child/youth serve on the same day.

Training is provided and you will shadow an experienced member as long as needed. We appreciate your consideration of this opportunity.

Interested? Please contact Jeanne Shannon with any questions or if you are interested in joining the Altar Guild team. jeannetshannon@gmail.com

Music at Good Shepherd

Last Sunday's candlelight concert, the fifteenth in memory of Lynn Kroncke, featured vintage and recent music from Broadway and musical films. If you missed it, do make sure to attend next year. It was a lovely way to spend a spring Sunday afternoon.
