Dear Students and Families,
As we approach the festive Holiday Season, I extend my warmest wishes to each and every one of you.
It's hard to believe, but we're nearing the culmination of the first semester, and with that comes a pivotal moment for our students. For those who might be unfamiliar, the semester grade holds significant importance as it solidifies its place on a student's transcript. This grade is a culmination of their overall progress in both Term 1 and Term 2, with a final exam or project grade factored into the equation. Essentially, it becomes the official record of courses undertaken during high school.
As we navigate these concluding weeks, it's crucial for students to stay vigilant in managing their academic responsibilities. Utilizing WIN time, seeking assistance before or after school from teachers, and capitalizing on the test retake procedure are valuable strategies. The latter provides an excellent opportunity for improvement, where the better of the two grades prevails. For more details on this process, please consult the student and family handbook.
May the upcoming holiday season be filled with joy and warmth as you gather with your families.
Wishing you all the best,
Principal Tronsen
