Inside this Edition: Redwood City Together's Inaugural Leadership Propeller Program

Introducing Redwood City Together's Leadership Propeller Program

Redwood City Together is excited to share that, in partnership with former City Manager Ed Everett and former San Mateo County Human Resources Director Mary Welch, we have launched a professional development program for leaders in the community. Our cohort consists of 19 leaders from local community based organizations and City departments.

The Leadership Propeller Program is designed to be a mix of training and coaching to achieve the following outcomes for participants:

  • Keen understanding of themselves and others, including skills and abilities, personality/behavior traits and strengths/weaknesses,
  • Understanding the myriad of key leadership traits and an assessment of participants’ effectiveness in using or managing around these traits,
  • Greater understanding and application of three critical traits: strategic leadership, political astuteness and change management,
  • Increased courage and confidence to exercise leadership,
  • Increased problem-solving and management acumen.

The cohort has completed four of the eight sessions, and we are excited to continue pouring into our local leaders. We cannot wait to see how they pour back into our Redwood City and North Fair Oaks community with all that they have accomplished in the program so far.

Redwood City Together Tuesday Tidbits are sent every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month.
