Note from School Leaders

Dear Rising Tide Students and Families,


Today we have released the first view of second term grades for students in their courses through the Community Portal. Please note that these grades will be unlocked for a limited amount of time and can be viewed on the Community Portal until Wednesday, November 22 at 8:00 a.m. Students and Parents/Guardians can use the print screen option on their computer (windows optionmac optioncapture this release of current grades.


We hope that you and your families have a restful Thanksgiving holiday with family and friends. Please note that we do not have school this Wednesday.

Upcoming Events

Monday, November 20: The Rising Tide Board of Trustees will have its monthly meeting at 7:00 pm. This meeting is open to the public.


Monday, November 20: This is the deadline for students interested in trying out for a winter sport to register.


Tuesday, November 21: The Feminist Club GLI (Girls Learn International) will host a Bracelet Fundraiser during lunch to support the Me Too Movement.


Wednesday, November 22 - Friday, November 24: School will be closed for Thanksgiving Recess.


Monday, November 27 & Tuesday, November 28: Auditions for the upper school winter play, Dracula, will be held after school from 3:30 - 5:00 pm.


Wednesday, November 29: The Student Government will hold a bake sale to raise money for an upper school event taking place on December 22.


Wednesday, November 29: Prospective Rising Tide families are invited to join Michael O'Keefe at 8:30 am for Coffee & Conversation to learn about the school's curriculum and programs.


Thursday, November 30: Students in grades 5 and 6 can try out for the Middle School Talent Show during lunch and recess.


Thursday, November 30: Crew interviews for the upper school winter play, Dracula, will be held from 3:30 - 5:00 pm.


Thursday, November 30: The next SEPAC (Special Education Parent Advisory Council) meeting will be held at 7:00 pm.


Friday, December 1: Students in grades 7 and 8 can try out for the Middle School Talent Show during lunch and recess.


Friday, December 1: Their will be a holiday movie event for middle school students at 3:30 pm in the Atrium.

Middle School Talent Show Auditions

Upper School Play Auditions

Auditions for the upper school winter play, Dracula, will be held Monday, November 27 and Tuesday, November 28 after school from 3:30 - 5:00 pm. Crew interviews will be on Thursday, November 30 from 3:30 - 5:00 pm. Packets for both can be picked up in Room 120 and are due back by November 20th. All students in grades 9-12 are welcome to audition or interview for the backstage crew.

Middle School Movie Night

All middle school students are invited to attend Movie Night on Friday, December 1 at 3:30 pm in the Atrium. Popcorn and water bottles will be provided. Tickets are $5 each and can be purchased during lunch on Monday, November 27 through Thursday, November 30. Proceeds from the event will support a local Toys for Tots. Parent pick up is promptly at 5:30 pm. Parents must come into the building to pick up their children.

The Enrollment Period for the 2024-2025 School Year is Open

Rising Tide has opened the Annual Enrollment Period for the 2024-2025 school year from Wednesday, November 1, 2023 through Tuesday, February 13, 2024.


Rising Tide is currently accepting applications for enrollment for grades 5-12 for the 2024-2025 school year. Enrollment applications are due by Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. All applicants, including siblings of current students, must submit the one-page application by the deadline to be eligible for enrollment. The application is available both online and through a paper form. Students can apply online by clicking here. Students can also download a paper application here, or get an application at the Main Office of the school. Completed paper applications can be faxed to (508) 747-1826, emailed to mjackson@risingtide.org, mailed, or dropped off to the front desk. Please note that no proof of residency is required along with a student’s application.


If there are more eligible applicants than available spaces, the school will hold an Annual Enrollment Lottery. The Annual Enrollment Lottery will be conducted in a public forum at the school, and has been scheduled on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 10:00 a.m.

Coffee & Conversation for Prospective Families

Rising Tide invites prospective families to join Michael O'Keefe, Head of School, for a Coffee & Conversation to learn about our curriculum and programs on Wednesday, November 29. Please share this invitation with families who may be interested. They can RSVP here.

Athletics Update

Today is the Deadline to Register for Winter Sports

This winter, Rising Tide will sponsor the following teams for the winter 2023-2024 season: Varsity Boys' & Girls' Basketball, Dance, JV Boys' Basketball, and Middle School Boys' & Girls' Basketball. The deadline to register is today.

Try-Outs Begin Next Week:

Girls' Varsity Basketball: November 27 and 28 from 5:00-6:30 pm at Sacred Heart

Boys' JV and Varsity Basketball: November 27 and 28 from 3:30-5:00 pm at Sacred Heart

Dance: November 28 and 30 from 3:15-5:00 pm in the Middle School Dance Room

Middle School Boys' Basketball: December 4 and 7 from 3:30-5:00 pm at Village Sports Club in Pine Hills

Middle School Girls' Basketball: December 5 and 8 from 3:30-5:00 pm at Village Sports Club in Pine Hills


All varsity practices will normally be held Monday-Friday from 3:30-5:00 or 5:00-6:30 pm and some Saturdays at Sacred Heart through December. All middle school practices are 2-3 days a week from 3:30-5:00 pm at Village Sports Club in Pine Hills. Dance practices will be in the Middle School Dance Room.

Recent Happenings At Rising Tide

Seniors Selected to Speak at the Rotary Club

Cecilia Reynolds and Gerard Sytangco represented Rising Tide today as senior speakers at the Plymouth Rotary Club. Two seniors from Rising Tide are invited each month to speak at the Rotary Club of Plymouth meetings.

Middle School Students Give Thanks

Our middle school students decorated the school's mascot, a heron, with individual feathers, each including a message of what the student was thankful for. 

Local History Students Engage in Fieldwork

This semester, students in Local History have the opportunity to engage in fieldwork trips designed to encourage engagement with the community and teach students about the work of those who preserve and interpret the past. On November 16th, students in the Local History course visited Pilgrim Hall Museum in Plymouth.
