DCCA Members - MPD will Speak at February Meeting

We will have representatives from both the Third and Second Metropolitan Police Districts to talk about neighborhood safety and answer questions from members.

DC's COVID Updates
On January 15, 2022, per Mayor’s Order 2021-148, the District of Columbia adopted a city wide vaccination entry requirement that requires COVID-19 vaccination to enter indoor facilities within the city.

Friday Street Closure Alert
On Friday, January 21, 2022, the annual March for Life will take place in the District of Columbia. In conjunction with this event, there will be parking restrictions and street closures that motorists should take into consideration. Details can be found here.

  • February 7th: Committee on Health, oversight of the Deputy Mayor for Health and Human Services (which may include the topic of encampment clearings)

  • February 18th: Committee on Transportation and the Environment oversight of DDOT, and the Advisory Councils for, bicycles, pedestrians, and multimodal accessibility.

  • February 24th: Committee on Human Services oversight of Department of Human Services, Interagency Council on Homelessness, and the Housing Authority.
ANC 2B's 2022 Committee Applications
ANC 2B is accepting applications for the following committees:
  • Land Use Committee
  • Mobility Committee
  • Education Working Group

Applications will be reviewed by the Chair of each committee and upon review, the full ANC will vote to appoint members at the ANC’s regular February meeting on Wednesday, February 9th.

Trans Am to Open at Keegan
January 29 - February 26

The Keegan Theatre has announced its first show of 2022: TRANS AM, a world premiere rock musical by Dupont Circle resident Lisa Stephen Friday.

TRANS AM is an irreverent autobiography that explores the most complex and personal parts of the human experience through stories and music. Originally conceived as a one-off cabaret performance during the pandemic, Keegan decided to fully mount a live-streamed production. Keegan's health and safety measures are still in place, including vaccine and mask mandates, to help protect artists, audiences, and staff.

Keegan Theatre is a recipient of a grant from DCCA and offers discounts to DCCA members.
