Hello Ogden Families!

Storyteller Chris Fascione visited Ogden last week to share his program "Bringing Literature to Life!" with our 1st and 2nd grade students. Thanks to 2nd grade teacher Mrs. Wieczorek for planning the visit. The PTC is proud to support these activities and enhancements!

Ogden's 2nd grade teacher Ms. O shared the following account:

"The kids LOVED his mime skills. They were all trying to imitate him even hours later! His different voices for the characters were so captivating! He told folktales from different countries: he acted out the many characters all while telling the stories from memory. Kids don’t often see 'storytelling' in that fashion. It’s usually through a book being read, so his one-man show was really exciting to watch. He was one of the funniest people I’ve seen in all my years; he was basically a stand up comedian!"

We hope to welcome Chris Fascione back for many years to come.

Last weekend, Ogden 6th Graders wrapped up their service projects at Feed My Starving Children in Schaumburg.

Thank you to Rebecca Ramana, the 6th Grade Committee, and our parent volunteers for making this happen.
