Jewish Pro-Life Foundation Urges Israelis To Have Additional Children
✡︎ Shalom & Good Day ✡︎

We wish to thank our friends at the Jewish Press for printing our piece in last week's issue. The idea to start requesting article submissions to media outlets came from a friend, as did the theme of this piece. HaShem provided a way for this one! If you have a topic that you feel needs shared with a wider audience, please let us know and we'll try again!

Jewish Pro-Life Foundation Urges Israelis To Have Additional Children

May there be abundant peace from Heaven, and good life upon us and upon all Israel. Amen.

We really appreciate the work done by Americans Untied For Life. Their podcast, Life, Liberty & Law, informs listeners about the legal and cultural aspects of legislation regarding the life issue. In a recent episode, they interpret the legalese of the upcoming case Dobbs v Jackson Women's Health.
It's a great discussion so we recommend it to our readers.

Medical experts often derive their knowledge from sources separated from Torah's life-affirming wisdom. Motivated by self interest on many levels, the decisions they make show poor judgement and produce unethical results. We want to share two stories about the power society gives to scientific authority. The first story talks about the monstrous possibilities regarding the expansion of embryonic research conducted by research scientists suffering from a God complex. The second story talks about the courage of parents who resisted medical authority pressure to abort their son and the beautiful outcome they now enjoy.

ONE JEW’S LOOK THROUGH JUDAISM AT ABORTION

‘. . . Every one that is called by My name,
And whom I have created for My glory,
I have formed him, yea, I have made him.’ Is. 43:7

Remember us unto life, O King who delightest in life, and inscribe us in the Book of Life so that we may live worthily for Thy sake, O Lord of life.

“Delightest” here reminds us that human life is treasured by God. Therefore, we are required also to treasure and protect that which delights our God. “For Thy sake” clearly tells us that we must view and treat human life with profound respect. This is because human life exists foremost for God’s purposes rather than for ours.

Prayers for Forgiveness of Abortion

Almighty, King, who sits on the throne of mercy and acts with kindness, pardoning the iniquities of His people, removing every first sin, increasingly granting pardon to sinners and forgiveness to rebellious transgressors, who does righteous deeds to all who are flesh and spirit; who does not requite them according to their evil; Almighty One, You who taught us to recite the Thirteen Attributes of Mercy, this day remember unto us the covenant of these Thirteen, as You made it know aforetimes to Moses, the humble one, as it is written, “And GOD descended in a cloud and stood there with him, and he invoked the Name of GOD. GOD, GOD, Almighty, Merciful and Gracious, Slow to Anger and Abundant in Kindness and Truth; Preserver of Kindness for Thousands of generations, Forgiver of iniquity and rebellious transgression and sin, and He who cleanses.”Forgive our iniquity and our sin, and take us for Your heritage.”
