We Aren’t Just Seeing Orange, but Also Pink!

A message from Regional West CEO Mel McNea

This fall, the health system is bustling with activity.

Recently, we welcomed a new physician to our Pulmonology, Critical Care clinic and three new providers in our Psychiatry & Behavioral Health, Urgent Care, and Family Medicine clinics. Look for more physician and provider additions soon!

October turns our world pink while bringing awareness to breast cancer. Our Breast Health Center team is pleased to provide screening mammograms using 3D tomography, the latest technology for detecting breast cancer. We also offer breast biopsies, breast ultrasounds, and genetic cancer counseling and testing. If it’s time for your mammogram, give us a call at 308-630-2700.

Later this month, the Air Link flight team welcomes area first responders, emergency medical response personnel, and healthcare providers for a day of learning and hands-on activities at the Oct. 28 Education Conference. Attending the conference is free, and attendees will receive continuing education hours. You can still register! Look for more information below!

Gynecologic Oncologist Advocates for Women’s Health

Gynecologic oncologist Marisa Moroney, MD, is no stranger to rural locales. After growing up in a town of 3,000 in Nevada, she was in familiar territory when she first came to Regional West last October.

“I’m from a rural area, so I felt right at home when I arrived in Scottsbluff,” she said.

Based out of University of Colorado Health (UCHealth) in Aurora, Colorado, Dr. Moroney travels to Regional West Physicians Clinic-Women’s Center monthly to provide gynecologic cancer care. She splits her time between the Women’s Center clinic and the operating room, performing surgical procedures on the da Vinci robotic surgery system as well as seeing patients through clinic visits.

Dr. Moroney says she enjoys the comprehensive nature of gynecologic oncology.
