Executive Director's Corner
Summer in Minnesota goes so fast! And it's been busy at Bloom! We had pre-k graduation in June at both centers and celebrated 21 students who are equipped and ready to start kindergarten in a few short weeks. One of the highlights for me was hearing from each student what they were going to be when they grew up: some want to be doctors, teachers, firefighters, and policemen; one student wants to be a celebrity! and, for all those earth science enthusiasts -- we have two upcoming paleontologists!
What a privilege it is to help children dream, develop skills, and build confidence for their future success! We are so proud of each student and we treasure these last few weeks with them before they leave us.
Thank you to all who advocated for Bloom and early learning with your legislators. Some important investments in early learning were made by the legislature this spring -- these investments will benefit providers and families. It is a start but the work is not over. We need to keep advocating for our youngest learners. With 80% of brain development occurring by age 3 and 90% by age 5, it is critical that we continue to offer high quality learning and care opportunities for children and families.
Bloom cannot do our important work without you. Your partnership enables us to provide scholarships to children from low income families, while keeping tuition as affordable as possible for our private pay families. Thank you for your generous and continued investment in Bloom Early Learning. I am looking forward to all we can do together to provide more children the opportunity to develop, thrive and dream at Bloom Early Learning.
