FEMA Assistance Tops $304 Million for Cook County
Federal assistance to Cook County residents affected by the June 29 – July 2 severe storms and flooding has increased to $304 million.  The deadline to apply is October 30.

• Each fall, LIHEAP accepts applications for a one-time grant, per program year and with no
payback required, until funding is exhausted. Learn more.

• The U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) has released the Fiscal Year 2023 Notice of Funding Opportunity for the Reconnecting Communities and Neighborhoods (RCN) Program, with up to $3.16 billion available for planning and construction projects.
