Congratulations to Boys Basketball senior Stefan Cicic on being named All-State for the 2nd year in a row!

Student Section and Spirit Showdown Champions!

Riverside Brookfield High School won the 10th annual IHSA 3A/4A Student Section and Spirit Showdown! The winner was selected from the IHSA Student Advisory Committee and was judged based on sportsmanship, creativity, organization, and participation at various events. Dan O’Rourke Invited to International AP Workshop

AP English Language and Composition teacher Mr. Dan O’Rourke was invited to the International AP Workshop at the American University of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates. O’Rourke led AP Workshop Sessions for 14 AP English Language and Composition teachers from across the world in a two-day workshop. Over the course of two days, O’Rourke provided an in-depth review of rhetorical analysis, reading and analysis strategies, and College Board resources for teachers to be more prepared for the exam.

Model UN at the LYMUN X Conference

On March 2, RB Model UN attended LYMUN X, LT's Model UN Conference. António Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations, and Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization, delivered recorded remarks for the students.

March 8 is International Women’s Day! In honor of Women’s History Month, each member of Girl Up has chosen a woman in their lives that inspires them and to share within this presentation. The goal of this discussion is to highlight and celebrate the women within our own community. 💜💚

Spring Musical: Guys and Dolls!

Congratulations to the cast and crew on a phenomenal production of Guys and Dolls! Over 100 students were involved in this year’s double-casted musical. Thank you to our Director, Colleen Fischer; Assistant Director, Sarah Johnson; Musical Director, James Baum; Technical Director, Earl Baum; Vocal Director, Kayley Smetana; and Choreographer, Leah Pawlik, for this show would not be the massive success that it was without your hours of dedication and passion for this production.

RBEF Raffle: One Week Left!

You still have time to support the RBEF and its annual student/staff educational grants by purchasing raffle tickets. The deadline is next Friday, March 15 by the end of the school day (3:05 PM).

Tickets are $20 each or 3 for $50 and can be purchased by cash, check, or Zelle (rbedfoundation@gmail.com) at this link: http://www.rbef.tv/raffle-tickets-2024.html

Tickets can also be purchased tonight, 3/8, at Irish Times starting at 4:30 PM and tomorrow morning at Riverside Foods. Tickets are also available at Aunt Diana's in Riverside, Mary's Morning Mixup in Brookfield, and at the LaGrange Park Antique Mall.

Lastly, the annual event is next Saturday, March 16, from 5 to 9 PM in the Auditorium and will also be aired live on RBTV. We have many amazing student acts slated for the opening two hours and LynSkynyrd headlining the show at 7 PM.

Stop by and enjoy the show, you will not be disappointed! Support the RBEF so they can continue to award educational grants to RB students and staff. Below is a list of all the grants RB students and staff have been awarded over the last 3-4 years.
