Teaching activity on measuring carbon storage in trees

PRI's climate change activity, "Photosynthesis: Calculating Biomass and Carbon Storage in Trees" just landed on Earth@Home's Teach Climate Change page!


The activity gives students a chance to make measurements of trees; practice reading graphs and other math skills; and learn about forests as climate change solutions.

Shift in climate change denier arguments

"A new study from the Center for Countering Digital Hate has found that YouTube content containing climate change denial claims or downplaying global warming impacts and solutions has doubled since 2018."

Project Scientist I at NSF NCAR - Future Climate Change over North America

The Research Applications Laboratory (RAL) at NSF NCAR is hiring a Project Scientist to work on actionable climate science projects related to future climate change and its uncertainty over North America. This role will help create a decision-relevant climate dataset by performing high-resolution dynamical climate simulations over North America. They will also contribute to the development of an actionable climate science program in RAL.
