Council Approves Housing for IDD Community!
On Tues January 23rd, Broomfield City Council approved the PUD, Final Plat and Site Development Plan for the Grove at Cottonwood. The Grove will be a neuro-inclusive apartment complex offering one and two bedroom apartments for significantly lower rent. It has been thoughtfully designed with accessible and supportive ammenities, specifically for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). It will be the first of its kind in Broomfield to address the housing shortage for IDD residents and is the result of the passionate, persistent effort of local nonprofits like FRIENDS and Blue Spruce Communities, and the caring dedication of the Broomfield Housing Alliance team. This project gives hope for the future for those with IDD, seniors and other low income Broomfield neighbors. Thanks to Council Members, BHA, and all of you for the support in getting this done!
