Access IH Arts January 25, 2024

Congratulations to two of our IHHS students on being semi-finalists in the Cincinnati Arts Association Overture Awards Competition. Senior Franny Bell is competing in the Theatre category and junior Lillie Waltz is competing in the Creative Writing category. The semi-finals will take place THIS WEEKEND February 1-3. Best of luck to Franny and Lillie this weekend!

This past weekend, several of our IHHS student musicians participated in the annual OMEA District 14 Solo and Ensemble Competition. ALL of our students received SUPERIOR ratings in their classes for their instrument. Congratulations to all those who participated!

Auditions for the IHHS Spring Musical Production, "The Addams Family" will have their final day on Thursday, January 25 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Callbacks will be held on Friday, January 26 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. More information can be found on the IHHS Theatre Canvas page. Performances will take place on Thursday, April 18, Friday, April 19, and Saturday, April 20 at 7:00 p.m. Ticket information will be available in March 2024.

EXCITING OPPORTUNITY FOR JUNIORS AND SENIORS INTERESTED IN STUDYING

ACTING & THEATER

POST HIGH SCHOOL!

We hope you had a merry holiday and are settling into the new year! We have some exciting news to share with you!

We've had some interest from Juniors asking if they can audition...so we are opening the auditions up to interested Juniors and Seniors.

Students don't need to apply first to audition but please email Robin (see email below) for a time slot on Friday February 9th, at Indian Hill High School. Time slots start at 3:30pm - 6pm.

Students need to be prepared with two contrasting monologues from published plays.

If you or your child is thinking of studying acting or musical theater post high school consider this as an opportunity to practice and see what's it all about.

To recap, CAPA is collaborating with The American Academy of Dramatic Arts (The Academy).

The American Academy of Dramatic Arts is a private drama school with two locations in NYC and LA. The Academy offers an associate degree in occupational studies and teaches drama and related arts in the areas of theater, film, and television. They have quite a notable alumni list!
