Letter from the Principal

Welcome back from Spring Break. I hope you had a restful time with family and friends. As we begin the final nine weeks of the school year, we are expecting to finish the year strong, and we appreciate the hard work of our staff and students and the partnership of our families.

Please remember that daily attendance through the end of the year remains a top priority to support student success. Please continue to follow our campus health guidelines to keep our students and staff healthy, avoiding any unnecessary absences. Remember that the state of Texas requires students to attend 90% of classes in order to promote to the next grade level. If you have 18 absences or more, without extenuating circumstances, you will receive a notice from the attendance office to recover missed time. Please contact the office if you have any questions.

Thank you for your continued partnership in supporting your student's consistent attendance and school-ready behaviors. Our teachers are working hard to promote high levels of learning in the classroom every day. Please communicate with your teachers and counselors if you have any questions or concerns about your student's academic progress.

Students, please remember to wear your ID to school every day.

6th Grade End of Year Activities: Save the Date

6th graders will have a unique opportunity to participate in a service project and field day activity to celebrate the end of school year as they "Enter to Learn, Go Forth to Serve" from McCulloch Intermediate School. We will need parent volunteers to help with our end of the year service project, packing meals for Feed My Starving Children, on Thursday, May 23. Please click HERE to sign up for a volunteer position with your student's house or to help set up or take down.

Tennis

The HPMS Raider Tennis Team won its second consecutive match of the season, topping McKinney Johnson 16-0 in match play. The Raiders only dropped 5 total games on the way to victory. The entire team played hard, was efficient, and exemplified the Raider way with their display on sportsmanship. Our next match will be on March 19 against McKinney Dowell at McKinney Boyd High School. Go Raiders!
