Announcements from CLEAN

Your copy should address 3 key questions: Who am I writing for? (Audience) Why should they care? (Benefit) What do I want them to do here? (Call-to-Action)

Create a great offer by adding words like "free" "personalized" "complimentary" or "customized." A sense of urgency often helps readers take an action, so think about inserting phrases like "for a limited time only" or "only 7 remaining"!

We are excited to share that registration is now open for the 2023 Accelerating Climate Capacity, Engagement, and Leadership Summit (ACCELS) on Thursday, November 16th from 2:00-5:00 pm ET!

ACCELS provides space to come together to develop a learning and action network that can advance future programming with a shared awareness of what others are doing, explore opportunities to collaborate, and orient our collective efforts towards systemic change. ACCELS 2023 will feature working groups who will meet regularly between November's kick off event and a culminating event in Spring 2024, and attendees will be invited to join these groups at the November 16th event.

Portal to remote engagement with COP28

Access the portal here!

For most anyone, attending a UN climate conference like the upcoming COP28 is daunting if not impossible. And yet the need to get far more eyes on the process and grassroots voices at the table, grows increasingly critical as climate disruption becomes more urgent and climate negotiations continue to fall short of what is needed.

Connecting to COP28 is an online portal created for citizen engagement with COP28. It provides links to background information about the UN climate processes, webinars about it and issues associated with the upcoming COP, and recordings of meetings from the COP, as well as suggestions for engaging with the conference from wherever you may be.

TNC's Youth Engagement Hub - Nature Lab

Educator resources are openly and freely available here!

In 2019, The Nature Conservancy and its 1000+ scientists launched Nature Lab, a robust and engaging online learning platform designed to help students learn about conserving nature for its own sake and for its ability to fulfill their needs and enrich their lives.

Nature Lab shares a variety of age-appropriate material available for grades K-5, 6-8, and 9-12 along with Virtual Field Trips. Curriculum modules are aligned with education standards and focus on conservation issues such as how climate change impacts our lives and the role of healthy fire in forests.
