Several important constitutional amendments are on the ballot, not to mention countless local issues. Many of our county parties and grassroots activists have been very involved in local races, local bonds (always a huge issue) and ballot propositions. I encourage everyone who hasn't already been involved in these decisions to study up on all the issues and please, please vote. Our state's Chief Financial Officer, Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar, is going to be on our Call to Action next Friday. Several of the aforementioned constitutional amendments have budget implications outside the normal legislative appropriations process. So how does that work and what are some of the other potential impacts of the constitutional amendments on the ballot? We have the man who would know!
Joining the Comptroller, and former Senator, will be current Senator Bryan Hughes! A good friend of our grassroots calls, Sen. Hughes is going to give us a recap of the senate school choice legislation recently passed by the Texas Senate. The legislature is considering several options for school choice and public school funding and this legislation from the Senate is a very important benchmark.

RNC EXPANDS POLITICAL AND ELECTION INTEGRITY OPERATIONS AHEAD OF 2024
In case you missed it, the Republican National Committee has been expanding our Political and Election Integrity Departments, including building out staff in key battleground states across the country. The RNC will have paid senior staff on the ground for Political and Election Integrity operations in 15 key states, from traditional presidential battlegrounds, to House and Senate target states like California, New York, and Montana.
This expansion has garnered some media attention this week, and we wanted to share the below articles with you all:
As mentioned in the Washington Examiner, “By the end of 2023, the RNC will have hired political staff in 15 different states, all home to competitive House and Senate races. The states will also each have an election integrity director in place ahead of the election year.” The RNC has also rolled out the Bank Your Vote Initiative – an early in-person voting and ballot harvesting push to improve Republicans’ vote totals heading into Election Day – with formal launches in CA, OH, NV, NY, and WI.

“The Republican Party is building an infrastructure to not only defeat Joe Biden, but deliver key victories up and down the ballot in 2024. With a focus on not just presidential, but House and Senate battlegrounds, our Political and Election Integrity hires are laying the groundwork to ensure we have aggressive voter contact and litigation strategies in place to win elections and hold Democrats accountable for bad laws that make voting less secure,” said Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel.
The RNC’s political team focuses on a data-driven ground game to grow our party through voter registration efforts and minority outreach, as well as to turn out Republican voters through door knocks, phone calls, and volunteer recruitment.
Additionally, the RNC plans on using the permanent Election Integrity department to recruit and train tens of thousands of poll workers and poll watchers, as Axios reported. Following “the RNC's push to mobilize on-the-ground ‘election integrity directors’ in crucial states ahead of the 2024 election… the Republican National Committee plans to recruit and train tens of thousands of poll workers and watchers in battleground states for the 2024 election.”

“In the years since 2020, the RNC has been busy putting in place staff, programs, and systems to address the new reality of pivotal elections being narrowly decided by rules that are rapidly changing,” said Hemingway. “The result is the creation of a dedicated, year-round infrastructure within the RNC solely dedicated to addressing concerns about election integrity”
“We keep using the phrase, there’s no longer an election day, there’s an election season. There’s not an election year, either. Elections are always happening,” said Chairwoman McDaniel. “And right now it’s happening in the courts, and in your ground game, and in building out your infrastructure to get poll watchers and poll workers in place. You want them in early so that you’re seeing if problems are happening on the ground or in specific counties. In Wisconsin, we have to nominate those poll workers [for the 2024 election] in November of this year.”
The RNC will continue to file key lawsuits, hire in-state election integrity directors and counsels in our target states, and continue to recruit and train tens of thousands of poll watchers and poll workers.
“It’s a big deal. The election integrity department has dedicated resources and dedicated staff and it’s on a permanent, ongoing basis. This is all we do,” said Josh Helton, senior advisor for Election Integrity at the RNC. “We don’t have other things to think about or worry about like voter contacts, get out the vote efforts, organizing the convention, or other legal matters that arise.”
Our Election Integrity department will continue to evolve and refine itself, specifically in areas like stakeholder management and developing new technology to more effectively streamline the poll-watcher recruitment and shifting process.

Less than one month ago, Joe Biden unfroze $6 billion for Iran, the largest state sponsor of terror, and now Israel is once again under attack. Time and time again, Biden’s weakness and appeasement of Iran and some Democrats' anti-Israel, antisemitic rhetoric have emboldened our enemies. We strongly condemn the terrorist attacks against the people of Israel, who have every right to defend themselves against these unprovoked attacks.
What you need to know:
- Our hearts are heavy and our thoughts and prayers remain with our friends in Israel, one of America’s strongest allies.
- Everyone should unequivocally condemn these horrific acts of terrorism.
- The Republican Party stands with Israel and the Israeli people’s right to defend themselves against these unprovoked attacks.
- President Biden must condemn the vile anti-Israel rhetoric coming from some Democrat Members of Congress.

- Joe Biden’s weak leadership has made the world less safe and our enemies have been emboldened.
- On the anniversary of 9/11 the Administration unlocked $6 billion for the Iranian regime, the largest state sponsor of terrorism.
- All under Joe Biden’s watch:
- The Taliban has taken over Afghanistan.
- Russia invaded Ukraine.
- China is menacing Taiwan.
- This Administration has failed to stand up to our enemies and our allies are questioning whether we are reliable.
The bottom line:
Despite Democrats weakness, one thing is clear, Republicans will always stand with Israel.

Bidenflation Isn't Going Away | |

Biden and his bad economic policies continue to make life more difficult and expensive for Americans.
What you need to know:

The latest Consumer Price Index data shows year-over-year inflation, coming in higher than expected at 3.7% and remaining more than twice the rate compared to when Biden took office.

Inflation has risen by 17.7% since Biden took office – with Americans still reeling from the lasting effects of inflation.

Real wages remain lower than when Biden first took office.

Median household income has fallen for two straight years under Biden and remains below pre-pandemic levels.

Americans are suffering from the lasting effects of Biden’s historic inflation, with many unable to pay bills, save for retirement, or afford rent.

The bottom line:
Republicans now have a 21-point advantage on which political party better handles the economy – the largest lead in NBC News polling history. Voters trust Republicans to get the job done and need to be elected up and down the ballot.
