This Weekend in Worship

Jesus’ parable about two sons who don’t do what they say reveals surprises in the reign of God. In the reading from Ezekiel the people claim the ways of the Lord are unfair, while God offers repentance and new life. Paul urges us to look to Christ as a model of humility, putting the interests of others above our own. Nourished by the broken bread and shared cup, we offer our lives for the sake of our needy world.

Saturday Worship

Taizé Prayer

Beginning October 7th, the style of Saturday Worship at 5:00 pm will follow the form of Taizé Prayer. The congregation will be invited into a more simple and meditative form of worship, calling us to dwell deeply on Christ's presence around and within us. One characteristic of Taizé worship is the use of repetitive prayer set to simple musical lines. While the service will maintain a familiar order, intentional pauses for silence will offer space for meditation and prayer.

The Divine Drama

Adult Faith Formation

Wednesday night Adult Faith Formation meets from 6:15—7:00 pm in St. Michael’s Hall. The Divine Drama outlines the biblical storyline from creation to Jesus the Messiah. Pastor Carlson will lead participants through the complete Biblical Narrative in 16 sessions, focusing on the forgiving grace of God who came to us in Jesus Christ to rescue us from sin and restore us to a right relationship with God and each other. Visit faithlc.org/adultministries for more information.

Memory Garden Plants

As we prepare for the Memory Garden renovation, the congregation is welcome to remove plants and flowers on a first come-first serve basis. All ornaments, pavement, and bricks will remain with the garden. When digging, please be aware of the irrigation system. Reach out to the church office with any questions.

Aging Parents & Caregivers

A Zoom option is also available by clicking here at 9:30 am on Sundays.

Planning for the End of Life
