AIM Planned Road Work

***WORK NOTIFICATION - WESTSIDE RD OVERPASS @ HIGHWAY 97 WEST KELOWNA - JAN 29-FEB 12 , 2024***

Please be advised we have planned work occurring on Highway 97 in West Kelowna to repair the Westside Rd underpass.

These repairs are scheduled to commence on January 29th and forecasted to be complete on February 12, 2024. We are required to modify the regular traffic pattern for North Bound traffic on Highway 97 in this area to accommodate these repairs, and this modified traffic pattern will be in place 24 hours a day, 7 days a week until the work is completed. The North Bound lanes of Highway 97 will be diverted into a single lane in the area of Westside Road for the duration of the project and a full closure of the HWY 97 northbound access via the roundabout at Sneena/Westside Road will also be required. Please expect delays in the area during this timeframe. We are scheduling this to be completed as quickly as possible to minimize the length of the impacts to the travelling public.

The Regional District of Central Okanagan (RDCO) is preparing its 2024-2028 five-year financial plan and is seeking comments from residents.

The proposed financial plan outlines an increase to the operating budget of the Regional District of $4.1 million dollars, from $61.4 million to $ 65.6 million, which translates to a proposed 8.5% average increase for property owners in the Central Okanagan.

Thursday, January 25 – 8:30 a.m. (initial presentation)
Thursday, February 8 – 8:30 a.m. (in-person comments)
Thursday, February 12 – 8:00 a.m. (deadline for comments)
Thursday, February 22 – 8:30 a.m. (feedback presented)
Thursday, March 14 – 8:30 a.m. (plan approval)
Thursday, March 28 – 8:30 a.m. (bylaw adoption)
