Dear Bet Torah Family:

It is with great excitement and pride that we announce the official launch of the Bet Torah Foundation. The Foundation is a gift of financial security for Bet Torah’s future. For over 75 years Bet Torah has given thousands of families a home, a caring community, a source of spiritual inspiration, an incubator of meaningful action, and a place for celebration and comfort – and we believe it is our duty to ensure Bet Torah’s strength for generations to come.

The past two months have only reinforced how important our spiritual home is in our lives and for the sake of a thriving Jewish people.

Our growing and thriving multi-generational community has been generously supported by you and put us in a position to think about meeting today's needs for the long term by asking:

  • How can we continue to be an ideal choice for Nursery School families?

  • How do we continue to accommodate our community on Shabbat and Sundays when our building is bursting at the seams with worship, education and programs?

  • How do we continue to attract the absolute best clergy, professionals, teachers and staff?

  • How do we continue to offer the best Jewish education for people of all ages and abilities?

  • How do we continue to be the most important place to begin and nurture a lifelong relationship with the people and the land of Israel?

The answer was to create a long-term funding vehicle for staffing, programming and capital needs called the Bet Torah Foundation. Our community has always been generous through dues and Annual Fund and Gala giving. The Foundation will allow our community to continue to be even more accessible, flexible and dynamic for years to come.

More than 36 families have already pledged their support and you can read some of their stories on the BTF web page

As Neil Klar, Foundation President, explains, it “puts the pillars in place for ongoing financial security and enables us to respond to the community’s needs for years and generations to come.”

The Foundation is a result of decades of commitment and planning, beginning with our founding members and culminating in this exciting opportunity to pay our gratitude forward. Every generation can make an impact on the next, and on the legacy of this amazing community. We all feel so blessed to be a part of this special community. And now we can make that a reality for generations to come.

You will be hearing more about the BTF in due course, and we would love to hear from you. If you would like to set up a time to talk to BTF leaders Neil Klar and Amy Horowitz, you can reach them here

Thank you for being a part of the BT family!
